RIC airport protester, federal officials present arguments in lawsuit

By: Reed Williams

HENRICO, Va. -- Authorities involved in the arrest of a protester who removed his shirt and pants at a security checkpoint at Richmond International Airport were doing their jobs and acted appropriately, a government attorney argued Wednesday in Richmond federal court.

Interesting Daddy - A few months ago there was a big network news story on a 20something girl who arrived at the airport and went thru TSA in nothing but a black bikini and flip-flops - She had a wrap skirt and t-shirt in her carry-on and no arrests - no problems.

Lets compare - only difference is she did not have language from the 4th Amendment to the Constitution written on

his chest.

Does being knowledgable about ones constitutional rights make you a "Terror Threat?"

Im pretty sure that the only danger he posed was distracting the Male Stewards <F/k/a Sky Sluts>

I love the TSA and I have no problem with them. Sometimes a smile or a joke goes a long way ... After all these guys are just doing their job.

With the amount of traveling I do, I have learned how to pass through security the most rapid and efficient way. I haven't been selected for additional screening for well over 2-3 years. Just sayin' ... I wouldn't refuse a pat-down if offered. :D

I'm still a big critic of TSA, its methods and Burger King staffing quality, but with regard to pat downs, I could tolerate (even welcome) the whole nonsense if TSA would occasionally offer what I recently experienced on a return trip from Africa. I was in the Johannesburg airport for my return flight to the states, and I had already been through security two times that day, when everyone at the gate was given another mandatory TSA-style patdown before being allowed to board the plane. I'm thinking "hell with this, again!" So I get in line, and step up to this stunning South African security officer, and for the first time in a long time, I was a big fan of airport security. He was muscled and gorgeous. He didn't just pass his hands across my body, he firmly groped and massaged everything. It was awesome, and seemed to last forever. My "junk" was thoroughly inspected, and for some reason, I didn't feel "violated". Wonder why? And to think it was a free fringe benefit of international travel. Who knew? ;)

Last week, after the x-ray and a new machine that sniffs for drugs, and a pat down, the agent looked under my wrist watch!! I kid you not. Maybe he thought a bomb was hidden there. Why can't bureaucrats ever have an ounce of sense?

OK, so are you willing to share what you've learned?? I'd love to make it through those lines without any problems.

I know this is a "TOUCHY" subject, but do you think you could request a transfer of that security officer to either Boston or Chicago for my upcoming venture?

Bosguy-

I know this is a touchy subject but requesting "personal" attention is not in the manual. :)

M2-

What do you expect from Burger King rejects? :)

Best regards,

KMEM

SD-

Your Halloween "objectivity" is beyond the pale.

I could suggest loafers. Easy on. Easy off. It seems if you appear to be prepared, TSA is kinder and gentler.

No probes or cattle-prods. ;-)

Just as a comment: Ever since losing the enemy, and "winning" the Cold War; -- the aftermath of Skunkworks STEALTH program, (the platform the enemy saw as one for sneaky attacks, but truly one for NASA's proof-of-concept of a Stellar fighter, which the Pentagon didn't want in the first place), we as a country, aren't any safer. If anything the country is being driven a little bit crazy with expectation of some sneak attack.

Play it cool with loafers and everything is A-OK.

He is so cute.

Sadly, something tells me he's into "Dude, where's my car" movies.

Ever since the Bicentennial, and what happened that fateful summer, some 25 years pre 9/11, there has been little or no sanity to things.

Sadly, I fear that this will go on for at least another 25 years.

It's enough to stop flying commercial.
