Do you like men in uniform or out of uniform? If you answered "yes" to this question, you should go see the gay-themed military drama "Burning Blue" now at the Beckett theater on W. 42d St. (NYC!). It stars Chad Lowe in a sizzling story about a gay sailor couple. There is a character named Boner, and you will not need binoculars when he drops trou!

The theater is a 99 seater, but it is as good a production as the West End version I saw in 1995.

Isn't NAKED MEN IN UNIFORM an oxymoron?

>It stars Chad Lowe in a sizzling story about a gay sailor couple. >There is a character named Boner, and you will not need binoculars >when he drops trou!

If Boner was played by Chad's brother Rob, I'd crawl on my hands and knees across the country to see it.

Is the "drops trou" bit a quickie or is there substantial nudity here?

Naked men in uniform is a cute way to get my point out. We are all naked in our clothes! Boner's display is not a quickie, and he has such a great sense of humor, you will really enjoy his character.

The two possible gay sailors are both quite hot. The writer knew his audience.

In my excitement over the pulchritude factor, I did not emphasize enough the depth and beauty in this finely acted drama. For $49.50, it is as good a drama with cute nude guys as you can expect. (Yes, I think it is better than Take Me Out.)

Tickets are available at Ticket Central box office- 212 279 4200. I don't know anybody involved, I am just encouraging this because I liked the show.

Burning Blue

This is a particularly well written play and it sounds like the New York production has a good cast, both of which provide the elements for a great evening of theaters. I saw this play in Los Angeles in 1997, at which time the issue of Gays in the Military was still very much at the fore. At that time, I recall it was announced that Working Title pictures had optioned the film rights to the play but have not heard any follow up.

I would strongly recommend that any theater fans who find themselves in New York this fall check this production out.

it IS the size of the tool AND how well you use it.

Lucky,

Didn't you think the lead in Take Me Out was a total hot stud?

Later.

PS. And the shower scene lasted a fair amount of time.

I did, I did! Until I saw him naked! He was so beautiful on Sex in The City, but his pecs sure don't look natural, and his body is not in proportion. Well, he is an actor, and not a pornstar. But I liked him enough to have a return ticket next week, this time in the first row!

He gets completely naked, but I only got a rear view. In the looks department, the other three outrank him, but his acting is great!
