There will be NO SHOW this evening at Adonis Lounge. We are officially moving our weekly party, along with all our hot dancers, into NYC to start a new chapter for NY"s #1 M4M strip show.

Before we get to the details, special thanks are in order for a number of people who were integral in our success from the beginning when things were far from smooth...

Special thanks to Joe the owner of the The Production Lounge where we hosted our show for giving us the opportunity some 20 months ago to start our journey. Joe along w/ everyones favorite barback Steven, original bartender George, and recent addition Chris have been nothing but supportive and professional the entire time. They are truly a class act and have grown into close friends. There are no hard feelings and we remain in contact. Down the line an occasional party there is not out of the question.

Thank you to all our loyal customers who took the trek to Brooklyn whenever they could to support our efforts, offering constant feedback and at times much needed criticism. This allowed us to go from a monthly party to a weekly event in a rather short time and solidify Adonis as a legitimate show in NY and now the entire country. Proper gratitude cannot be expressed in words...

Thanks to the local Brooklyn residence who embraced our presence and spread the word throughout the gay community. We hope you follow us to our new venue.

Finally, thanks to all the boys who danced for us over the last 20 months. A quick count put that number over 80. Thats pretty cool if you ask me :)

****************************************************************

Details of the venue will be released Friday, but I CAN tell you that our show will be moving to WEDNESDAYS and that we will be having a HUGE Grand Opening next Wed June 1. Mark that date on your calendars now!!

If anyone on this email list can drum up any press for this big event (blogs, message boards, websites, etc) please email so we can make this a killer party next week!

We're looking forward to continued success and growth now that we're in NYC. Im sure we'll need to make adjustments and experience growing pains at our new venue. We welcome your continued feedback and suggestions once we get settled in order to produce the best show possible. As they say, the show must go on...

-Tim

Once the screeming females left the Adonis lounge it turned into a great party.

When you went there you felt welcome. Everyone in the place went far and beyond to make you feel comfortable. yes, even Steven the bar back. Maybe he will become the feature dancer for the new location?

I wont be around for the Grand Opening but Good Luck !

Awww. Brooklyn will be sad to see Adonis go. If I'd known that last week was the final Brooklyn appearance, I would have made an extra special effort to get out of work and show my support. Good luck in Manhattan (the lounge has always been in NYC, Tim). ;-p

This is great news. We have all seen the tremendous growth of Adonis over the last two years, undaunted by those negative outside forces. It survived - NO, IT THRIVED - because Tim, our host, was always attentive to the needs and desires of the customers. It thrived because Tim was always supportive and responsive to the dancers who became his loyal team and spread the word among their colleagues from across the nation, who came running to Brooklyn of all places because there was a friendly safe place to work and meet new people. I can only imagine the success ADONIS will have in NYC if it was able to create what it has in Brooklyn.

But hey - we don't have to imagine. We just have to adjust our calendars from THURSDAY to WEDNESDAY and enjoy!!

CONGRATS TIM!! I know this is gonna be a great success for you -- AND FOR US!!

Yes, there is! I received an email this morning with the address and a description of tonight's party. I don't think it would be appropriate for me to re-post this email here, but I'm sure Tim will make an announcement on this board soon. If not, IM me.

Delighted to see a new addition to the male strip club scene here in Manhattan. Wishing the organizers the best of luck!

Just got back from Adonis on 58th Street, and I had a nice time.

I think they had a nice crowd, the cover was only $10, beer was just $5.

A cozier set-up compared to Club 20, as the stage is much smaller and the lap dance area is kinda hidden and not fully exposed.

I will definitely be back.

I was there as well. It's really nice place, and for those of us who live or work in Manhattan, the location is great! The big difference seems to be the earlier start time and the earlier crowd. It was pretty packed by 8pm when I arrived (much to my surprise) and the crowd thinned out by 11pm (unlike Greenpoint which seemed to have a later surge). That was not what I expected, but as it was the first time, let's see what happens. These things get a rhythm all their own and it will surely find its here.

More important than crowd or location were the boys: a nice mix from ADONIS, as usual: "Porn Stars" Brendan Cage and Shay (Shay is new to Adonis, but familiar to many on this board from his other appearances, including Fire Island last year) were great and the crowd really enjoyed their "show" which was a little more outrageous than the usual fare at Evolve! Other personal favorites (and apologies if I can't name all, it was a blur of hotties!) include: JAXTON (always great!!), NEO, ROCCO, LI JOHNNY/JOHNNY GREEN EYES/JOHNNYLICIOUS/CHANNING/WHATEVER (anybody else think the name thing is getting out of hand? ), BIG ANDREW (a late arrival but he kicked off the second shift and is always a pleasure to see!!), BLAZE, JIMMY, SCOTT and a bunch more.

Yes, as stated above Beer/Wine was only $5 (until 9:30 I believe) and Margharitas were $5 all night. So it's really a great deal - especially by Manhattan standards! And the layout works great: Large L-Shaped bar area, with plenty of seating, and the small stage making it very intimate. Large separate Lap Dance area (though it's in a heavy traffic spot as it also leads to a great outdoor patio (Smokers take note!). I suspect as it gets busier that pool table is gonna see a lot of action involving more than just balls!

What a wonderful addition to Manhattan nightlife. Everyone still mourning the loss of the Gaiety should check this out PRONTO.

THANKS TIM FOR ANOTHER GREAT PLACE!!!

(A shout out to Cooper & his posse -- where were you? You were missed!!)

Coop et al. were en route northward I understand. Any guess where? But this member of the posse was there and glad he was. It WAS a great night. It was especially nice to see Nello back from Miami for a while. He was one of the original Club 20 dancers. My only worry is that it may get so successful that it outgrows its new venue.

Any way hats off and thanks once again to Tim.

Btw. Checked out the Town House across the street. It was more "dead" than usual.
