Stepping back

So I've started drastically cutting down on the posts that I do each day (my own choice) and have started limiting myself to what threads I reply to now and in the future.

 

I'll still be watching/lurking but my posts will start to be fewer and more far-between. i feel this is the right decision for me right now at this time in my life.

I think we have all gone through those times g. God knows there are times I posted everything on here and others nothing for weeks. Do what works for you and know when your not here your voice is missed.

It's not uncommon for posters to take sabbaticals or decide they're spending too much time and energy here (esepcially in relation to what they get from it).

 

I hope you find the balance that's right for you.

I took a vacation from the forum and then came back slowly. Sometimes one just needs a breather. Lately I have been posting more but I am missing the posts of some who were regular posters. Hopefully they will be returning as it is my hope that you will too.

To second, or third NYT, we all need a break at times and most of us have gone through periods when we post little to nothing. Do what's right for you, that's all that really matters. Be well. Be happy.

I also don't understand how forum posters who have lurked for "so long" all of a sudden come out of hiding for some typically totally random posting and then start posting with amazing frequency. I mean are these really "new people"?

 

i'm just trying to understand it is all. probably a mistake on my part.

I agree with stephen here. Be honest in your opinion and try not to attack anyone without provocation. Just be yourself and your fine. What others don't appreciate is there concern.
