Don't worry the dinner is still on at the Webber Grill Restaurant on Saturday May 28th. Maybe I'm the only who needs clarification... But my understanding-- which may and probably is totally wrong is that the clients pay for escorts even if the escorts are not, hmm shall we say 'under contract' for the evening.

The reason I thought this was from past precedent. I know Forum members have met in LA in the past years ago at a restaurant-- was it Mickey's? Anyway, after the dinner I remember some Forum Member writing a disgruntled posting about how he didn't know when he attended the dinner that he would be expected to chip in for dinners of the escorts. Now I know in Palm Springs all the escorts were employed, so that their employers picked up the tab. But from this past precedent in LA, I figured that it was expected for us clients and potential clients to split the free range escort's tab. Was I wrong? I plan on attending in either case.

I think the general rule is that appetizers and entrées (excluding shellfish) are paid for by the clients, while dessert is on Daddy. Oh, and all condiments, bread sticks, crackers, etc. are very graciously covered by the escorts.

First let me be clear, if I were attending the entire fete would be on me. So sad that I am unable to make it. That being said, I think that those clients bringing escorts to the dinner should pay for the escort as they would if they were taking the escort to dinner anywhere else. It seems to me no one but the client should be responsible for his entourage of 5 escorts. On the other hand, some escorts arriving single will likely not leave that way, so the client again should assume the cost. However, the escort leaving with only future appointments but no client on the evening should assume the cost of his own meal and chalk it up to a business expense. Now those actually attending might feel differently, but as a client on a budget, I don't mind buying dinner for my own escort and I don't mind throwing in for someone else, but one should not feel pressured to do so and since this is a meeting of gentlemen, I think the genteel way of handling this is to allow each person to make arrangements for their own payment. So separate checks is probably the way go. Tomkat i think you had the tuna and milk; Tyger you had the wildebeest with a side of zebra, Gman you had the large sausage and meatballs etc. Once again, allow me to state that IF I were to be there, the dinner would be on me, but I will not be there so IT DEFINITELY IS NOT.

GMan -- at the DC luncheon the clients did pitch in and cover the lunch for the escorts. However, the clients outnumbered the escorts 7:2 that day so it wasn't too much. And actually at the DC lunch we had something happen that I've nver encountered before. When the bill came, the clients were all in such a good mood that they started chipping money in. By the time everyone had contributed what they thought there share would be, we ended up with enough for about a 100% for the waiter. We had to go through the process of having everyoine take money back out of the pot. I mean the waiter was cute and everything but not that good looking.

However, given what I'm seeing of the attendees, the escorts won't be outnumbered, in fact they may even be the majority, although I may be wrong about that. I think this is something you all will need to figure out. For me, and this is simply my own personal choice, I'd be more than happy to contribute enough to cover the meals of the escorts. Again, that is simply my own opnion and should be taken with an enormous grain of salt.

Perhaps it would be a good idea of ChiTown could give an idea of distribution of attendees: clients vs. escorts (of course there will be one attendee who is both so who knows how you want to count him :) )
