Clients canceling on escorts. What to do?

So it seams here recently that some of the people passing through that are looking for a few hours or an evening have been canceling, due to a cancelation in their meetings ext. as the escort though, this is rough, as the time has already been set aside for that particular client. Full time escorts(such as myself) also base personal life plans around the booking, should the client have to pay a deposit when booking locally? So that in the event of a cancelation on their behalf the escort has something? If so how should the deposit be brought up? And how much of the rate should the deposit be? Often i view traveling to clients easier as i view the plane ticket(often non refundable) as the "deposit". If in the event that a deposit should be require, how do you bring it up to the client? And as a client what would it take for you to trust that escort to leave a deposit with them? Hope y'all can help me out.

Over the long run you are better off not asking for a deposit. You are correct in that the round trip ticket is the deposit for a travel overnight but for a local client or even in a travel city asking for a deposit of any kind opens a can of worms you don't want to open. It tells the new client that you do not trust him. Most clients are c.e.o.s, doctors, business owners, etc. and it will benefit you if you want them as a regular to trust them. Occasionally you will get BURNED but take it like a man and move on. At 19 you will get thousands of good clients if you take care of yourself and never use illegal drugs. NOw, having said that, I AM IN NO WAY SAYING ANYTHING BAD ABOUT ESCORTS WHO DO ASK FOR DEPOSITS. i UNDERSTAND IT but over the years I feel it is not a good business practice if you want to be in business a long time.

I didn't find it a big deal as I'd noticed that other hospitality businesses, hotels, restaurants, etc. had started asking for my credit card number when I made a reservation. I'm not sure how I'd feel if it was only for an hour-or-two though.

 

I've had to cancel two overnight bookings at the last minute and have to admit that I didn't let them know, just arranged for them to be paid in full on arrival. I know some other Members will think this makes me a congenital idiot, but I have a Floating World mentality to escorts, they're selling time and I expect to pay for every minute. Hey, I used to arrange lunch a week-or-so prior to an overnight at the full hourly rate, not to check them out but just to make the later encounter more comfortable for me!

Not an idiot at all... I like your style. Treat them like professionals and I find tgyey do the same. Moreover treat an es forte like a human being you care for. And they also do the same.

Aw, cheers, NYTomcat. I know that some Members are of the opinion they shouldn't have to pay to socialise or dine with an escort, 'fraid it's just not me.

Thanks so much y'all for the advice. It is actually as I had figured for the most part. That the escort and client should trust each other. Which sadly can be difficult at times when there are many guys out there who don't look like there pictures ext. I will stick to my guns I think and not ask for deposits. Thanks again y'all.

Sounds like the elite of the elite clientele in some respects. So what percentage of clients are just people (who aren't CEOs, rich, powerful people of the world)? trying to make their way through life (well some people "maybe not on this board) would never admit they're rich as they don't think that is ever such a word as enough), etc?

Beyond that you assume the business owners doctors lawyers etc are all wealthy. I guarantee. That is not the case

The NYT this past weekend had an article that talks about 250,000 as the cutoff for defining "wealthy". I totally disagree. It doesn't really go far in a city like nyc and expensive habit of playing with escorts.

You aren't just whistling Dixie or Yankee Doodle, your choice. There are a lot of words that can describe one's economic situation but not exactly how much money he or she has. Comfortable, well off, owns own home, pays all bills on time, has a savings account, etc. None of those words describe wealthy to me, however enviable the position might be and the same descriptions might reflect a different "value in dollars" from place to place, as you say, NYC is no place to describe having or making 250,000 as wealthy.

 

Personally, I have never seen anyone who cannot spend more than they make, if that is their attitude and "goal". Even Bill Gates could not buy very many super carriers out of his own pocket, not that he wants any.

I really can't give you a number since I don't ask personal questions of clients. You do get to know some of them though and as the relationship grows you find out things about them by listening. If I had to guess or estimate I would say 75% of my clients would be above the 250,000 threshold. I know so many doctors that I really feel like a 3rd year med student! I have listened to so many lawyers that I could probaly fake my way through a trial in open court and not make a fool out of myself. i am joking but ,yes, you get the average joe, and, since I am an average joe I can relate to those guys better. With my professors and ceos I just listen, and listen. I have learned good business principles over the years by listening. Feel like I have an m.b.a. I mean in college you learn from guys telling you how to build a business but as an escort you learn from guys WHO HAVE BUILT OR RUN BUSINESSES. That is a really cool benefit of the biz. My other job i have (I have built a start up company that does not involve my cock) has been sucessful because of what I learned from escorting.
