Looking to book a room/suite in NYC that has extra large shower and/or tub that'll accommodate three people.

Anyone have any suggestions?

The Plaza Midtown, (http://www.theplaza.com/hotel/ ), and The Mandarin Oriental upper West Side, (http://www.mandarinoriental.com/newyork/ ), have great bathrooms. Bryant Park Hotel is "kind of" upscale and has separate tubs and showers that are relatively large... ( http://bryantparkhotel.com/ ).

No specific recommendation, but wherever you go, you might want to request a wheelchair accessible room. My guess is that these rooms typically have larger showers and bathrooms.

Agreed. In addition, not only do these showers tend to be larger, they are usually walk-in showers. Love 'em.

Jaighbos,

I second Tomcat's recommendation for the Royalton hotel, 44 W 44th Str. (with the remark that not every room at this hotel has the oversized round bathtub).

You might want to inquire about it at the time of booking.

On a second thought, while the tub/shower might be large enough to accommodate 3 people, you may find the standard rooms at the Royalton too small for your party.

Depending on how much you're willing to invest in the accommodation, the Royalton suite on the top floor might meet your needs.

Have fun !

My 2 all time favourite hotels in NYC for years were Morgans and The Royalton. I have stayed at each on more than a dozen occasions.

Again - rooms / configurations are hit/miss - depending on the time of year / how busy the hotel / the length of your stay - all ultimately contribute

to the room your assigned. Both of these properties essentially established the benchmark for the boutique trend. Upon returning to the Royalton

following it lobby reno - I was a little disappointed that it has lost a little piece of it's Phillipe Starck 'MAGIC' but life is about change and it's still a great hotel.

And that round bathtub holds several magical memories . . . and some great mindblowing SEX !!!

Mandarin Oriental has a great bathroom (and view) with a shower stall large enough for 3
