Dick's Cabaret in Phoenix

I was there a couple of weeks ago on a Tuesday night. Not much, if anything, has changed. They had 5 dancers. All were of the fratboys or muscle jocks. A good way to spend an evening in phoenix.

At Dicks, you pay $20 to enter the club..another $20 for a wrist band to get lap dances, then $20 per song..Plus you can't drink alcohol. Many gay bars feature dancers, (some are even the same dancers you find at Dicks). You pay little or no cover, you tip a few bucks, and depending on the club and the dancer, you can have just as much if not more interaction than allowed at Dick's. At least if you go to Montreal, you don't have the $20 cover or the $20 wristband charge, plus, your lapdance happens behind a closed curtain (we all know that NOTHING ever happens with the curtain closed... LOL)..

I agree with Lurker. Dick's is a waste of time. You never know what sort of guys will be there......some nights pretty hot.....other nights, pretty nasty. Lapdances are not at all private and really you cannot get away with very much. Certainly not worth doing a trip to Phoenix to go to it. Save your pennies and go to Montreal or Atlanta instead.

Cruisin' 7th has a Saturday afternoon stripper show at something like 3 or 4 pm. You can find specifics on their website. There are usually 6-8 dancers. Mostly white and Latino built types (although not big body builders).....although I have seen the odd black dancer there as well. 4-5 years ago, some of the guys that danced there were pretty hot. The last two times I went, I felt it was less interesting. I think Cruisin' 7th may also have a Thursday evening show as well.

Thanks for the info - I plan on going out Friday night 3/11. Although i will be there Tues. Wed. & Thurs. too but have things to do those nights. I can get into most types of guys except for very young twinks. Prefer late 20s guys moderately built.

Friday night, you will find dancers/strippers at two clubs that I am aware of, BS West in Scottsdale and Pumphouse2 in East Phoenix. BS West will be more muscular, collegiate types and Pumphouse more on the twink to boy next door types.

 

As far as non-stripper bars, Charlies would be a good bet.. It is probably the busiest bar for a late 20's crowd. BS West is more early 20's/college types. If you want to relax with a good martini in a nice setting, check out Amsterdam.

 

The clubs with strippers are all good if you are happy with just looking, but if you are a top and want some real action, just get ahold of our resident "best of" winner, Brandon Williams..his reputation speaks for itself..

ok here goes, went to Charlies last night first, its ok, quite busy, country music playing first, then club music, one hot looking bartender, hard to get a drink, i guess i wasnt a regular, i probably wont go back, then i went to icepics, had a good time there, 3 dancers, Alejandro - young 21, smooth body, Dallas - Chocolate muscled guy, and Cyprus - leather clad latino guy, all were very interactive and fun, got a lap dance from Alejandro, Dallas met me in the back of the bar for some personal time, and Cyprus knocked me off

the bar stool literally, it was funny, he bought me a drink for doing it, very friendly there, i would go back, but was told the action on friday is at pumphouse or bs west just like lurker said above.

went to Pumphouse2 on thursday night, got there around 10pm, looked like it was closed but it was open, show started at 10:30 with Tabitha she/he was alot of fun, then Chance, blond beach boy type, very huggable, fun pole skills; then Alejandro, who i met Tuesday night, he remebered me and was quite nice on the pole, also very nice in the

lap dance room, then Andrew -very tall, slim smooth masculine, amazing pole dancing skills, didnt get a chance to have a lap dance with him, last was Eddie, mexican muscle guy, lap dance was fun. The place was empty, which was good and bad, good for getting the attention of the dancers, but the dancers could have used more patrons to keep them occupied and earning. I would go back here again just to see Chance.

glad you hear you enjoyed your visit here in Phoenix. Without naming any names publicly, let me just say that at least one of the boys you mentioned is available for "private sessions". I speak from experience, but let me also say that it was pretty one-sided.. but boy did he sure love getting his ass rimmed...unfortunately, that was pretty much the only thing he got into (at least with me).

yes lurker i did enjoy myself, so here is my last report, went back to pumphouse on Friday. 5 guys on Friday night, Chance, Travis, Andrew, Eddy,& Dimitry. So I finally got a lap dance with Andrew, i wasnt sure if he would be loose in the room but he was a pleasant surprise, Eddy remembered me from the night before and was ready for a lap dance early, but i waited a while for it, but was excellent when it happened, Dimitry was a big muscled guy very nice looking and friendly, said he hadnt danced there in a while as he had a new job, didnt do a lap dance with him , i ran out of time, Travis is a tall, slim, smooth boy with the best underwear, changed it every set, was awesome. Did a jello shot body shot with him, it was so good, i saw him do one with another guy too, it was his first time at Pumphouse, And Chance, my favorite, when I showed up on Friday he came

right over to me and spent alot of the night with me, which was totally enjoyable, i had him shoot the jello shot syringe in my mouth as I couldnt work the thing, ok i could do it but it was hotter when he did it, I did 3 lapdances with Chance, each one better than the last. I miss him already. It got much busier there on Friday night. There was another guy there who said he used to work there. He is Nate on Broke Straight Boys, he was nicely built with a brand new tattoo, very friendly too. Gee i'm missing Phoenix now. Need to go back soon. Lurker thanks for the advice. And I have to say i really like the way the night went at Pumphouse. I like that each dancer gets to show off in a show and then they work the room on their own. It gives time to see them dance but gives more time to mingle with them on the floor. They mngle with you eye to eye instead of up on some pedestal.

Had a chance to stop by Dicks, last night. I hadn't been there in a couple of years. Not much has changed in terms of layout, furnishings, or costs. In fact, it's all the same. I was in the club from 9-11. With the exception of a 15 min period, I was the only customer there. They had 5 guys dancing. Two thinks and three muscle jocks. All were good looking nd friendly. I did a couple of lap dances and the guys allowed quite a bit of interaction. A good night but gotta wonder how they keep their doors open with so few customers. Maybe I just caught the club on an off night.

I went to Dick's four times this last weekend and had a great time. The caveat is that I always manage to have a great time at strip clubs, even lousy ones. Frankly, I'd have to agree that Dick's is a lousy strip club. The dancers seem pretty unhappy, and in my four nights there, I overheard a few times what sounded like management being pretty harsh to the dancers. Despite the unhappiness in the air, Dick's does not lack for talent. Every night I went, there were at least three and as many as five or six guys there who were definitely worth my time and money.

 

The key is to go on a Sun or Mon because a VIP wristband is just $10 and VIP dances just $10/song. I would avoid Fri & Sat because those are the big nights for bachelorette parties and sorority field trips. With all the screaming girls grabbing the dancers' attention, it's easy for the few gay men in attendance to feel ignored. In response to blondeq's comment above, the club is always a morgue from 7 pm to about 10 pm, when the stage shows start (depending on the night and number of customers). The busiest stretch is from 11 pm to 1 am.

 

Remember that dancers pay a $15 house fee plus pay out 30% of VIP dances to the house. Gratuities aren't just appreciated, they're treated like a godsend. Tue thru Sat, the VIP wristband is $20 and VIP dances are $20/song. Table dances (i.e., the dancer gives you a lapdance in the main room with his underwear/G-string on) are just $10/song, yet dancers are happy to do them because they don't turn over 30% to the house. And like all strip clubs, you can probably sweet-talk a dancer to spend time with you outside the club. But all communication about any outside-the-club activity must done with absolute stealth and discretion. The owner actually doesn't mind if you hook up with a dancer off the premises, but (get this!) if she finds out, she demands a 30% cut from the dancer (yeah, seriously). So if I did manage to convince one of the dancers to spend an evening with me, and he totally knocked my socks off, I couldn't share that information here for fear that the owner would read my post, figure out who it was, and demand her cut. All hypothetical, of course.

 

Despite a dumpy location, spotty attendance, and seemingly piss-poor management, Dick's Cabaret manages to soldier on. I really hope it's still up & running the next time I make it to Phoenix.
