Can anyone tell us of a renewal of the street scene subsequent to the changes at craigslist? A few posters in other threads suggested this would happen., Please tell us of cities and locations where this might have happened....

There is a fairly active "street scene" here in Houston in the Montrose area on Fairview and Hyde Park. It was active whilst CL was functioning and continues to be active today. I have not noticed any increase. Not that I have ever taken part. The guys working the street here are sleazy, dirty, drugged-up, and living life on the edge. Whilst I am sure they are available for a dime, I would be scared to death to go near any of them. Sadly, I think the street scene in the US (and most places around the world frankly) died 10-15 years ago or even before. Only the lowest of the low work the streets today.
