WOW!!! That's all I can say about being "Escort of the Year" for 2010... I was and still am very humbled, honored and gracious that I received such an award... the list of runner-ups and honorable mentions was very impressive! I'm very happy and pleased to know that there were a lot of great providers during 2010 and that they were able to rock some worlds. 2010 was a great year for me... It was filled with tons of fun, laughter, cheers, and of course, great sex! I was blessed in 2010 with several amazing clients. I was very fortunate in the sense that all of my clients (that ranging from the client who books a 1 hour appointment to the client who books weekend get aways) have always treated me well and have been good to me. I can't say I ever had any unpleasant company or bad experiences in 2010 and for that I'm very grateful. Honestly, you guys (my clients and contemporaries) have been a huge cornerstone in my journey this past year and have really made a difference in my life... you guys have made my life richer and sweeter!

 

For those of you that don't know I graduated from California State University Long Beach (Go 49'rs!) in May of 2006 with a B.A. in Sociology. A few months later I nailed a job with a commercial real estate company, Grubb & Ellis, as an events coordinator. My employment at Grubb and Ellis came to an end in March of 2010 due to the bad shape our economy was in and still is... I was laid-off with about 30 other employees. Lucky for me I have always been a saver and frugal with my earnings so I wasn't too worried. Did I forget to mention that I had decided to join the adult industry in February of 2008? Filmed a lot of scenes for major websites and now appear on major studio films... It's a good deal. So, in March of 2009 I was at Mickeys in West Hollywood. I was advertising for my agency (Pacific Blue Agency) shirtless, wearing diesel jeans that rode low on my hips (no briefs), and serving drinks to patrons. There were a couple of times that a few gentlemen propositioned to me, but I was uncertain about whether or not their proposition was the same kind of proposition I was thinking about. I had to be certain so I explained to my agent what type of propositions I thought I had encountered and asked him what his take was on it... to this day I still remember what he said to me verbatim... "kiddo, It's the oldest game in the business... when you get home log onto http://www.rentboy.com and let me know what you think." As soon as I got home that night I did exactly what he told me to do. I logged onto rentboy.com and was blown away... overwhelmed actually. Did some hiring of my own before I decided to give escorting a try myself in April of 2009. Now, I have to be honest with you... I just about jumped out of my skin the very first time I had my first client knock on my door. But to my surprise, It went rather smoothly and I couldn't wait to do it all over again. I went into escorting with minimal tools to utilize and very little knowledge. All I knew and kept telling myself Is, "be yourself because if you're not It's not going to work.... And, most of all treat others the way you want to be treated... with Respect, courtesy and kindness and hopefully I'll be treated the same way in return." I've been doing this for 22 months now and It has worked for me and my clients. It's the only way I know and I'll continue with It because It works for me.

 

Since I was and still am a newbie to escorting there were some things that I was inexperienced and/or unfamiliar with... For instance, travel posts in the "Escort Travels" section. I was inexperienced and unfamiliar with setting up the pins to working in a different city other than my hometown so I took a peak into the "Escort Travels" section. I was browsing around checking out escorts' travel ads when I came across a professional, well written, articulate and standard format... Guess who's It was? Romanns! Now, keep in mind that I was all new to this and didn't know I would royally fuck up big time... What I did was lift some parts of his travel post and incorporated them into my own. You can only imagine the kinds of comments people made about it. From my mistake I learned that the message center can sometimes be a hot bed of tempers when somebody feels dissed or some body's friend is dissed. It's kind of like the protect your family/friends syndrome. The ire gets raised! I find it fascinating how venomous people can be when hiding behind an online persona. I often wonder how many of those people would be the same if they were face to face with the person at whom they directed their words. I would guess that few, if any would react the same way. I wish people could remember that before turning nasty. However, the message center can just as much be a place just to ham it up, vent, or have a good laugh. Looking back on my mistake I hope that It wasn't really a big deal to Romann. If anything It was flattery more than anything. You see, when I first started escorting I became familiar with some of the names of the great ones: David of San Francisco, Andrew Dragon of San Diego, Kristian Elix of Los Angeles, Steven Kesslar of San Francisco and, of course, Romann of Dallas (now Chicago). Romann... I've never met you, but I'm constantly either reading or hearing great things about you. I truly hope that one day our paths will cross and we are able to meet in person (maybe during the Hooville weekend?) and just ham it up.

 

Moving on, I feel that it is necessary to give thanks to all of my clients and contemporaries. We wouldn't be who we are without one another. A very special thanks to a few special individuals. During the course of 2010 there were a few people that took a chance on me and helped me out. For that I thank you and I will forever be grateful.

 

1. Daddy and MC administrators- Thank you for maintaining the MC and keeping order and balance. Without you guys this MC wouldn't exist... keep up the great work!!!

 

2. Epigonos- Thank you for going outside your comfort zone and giving me a chance. You gave me the push I needed to get moving and keep my momentum going. By the way, I'm no longer hard to pin down regarding my fee for dinner and two hours of play time. Lol!

 

3. jawjateck- Thank you for taking a chance on a "recipe for disaster" and taking me as your companion to the 2010 Hooville Palm Springs Weekend... Boy, was I nervous walking in through those doors at the first dinner. I felt like I was meeting celebrities when I met Steven Kesslar, Kristian Elix, Andrew Dragon, Ace, Jason Carter, and David. Lol! It was a lot of fun meeting the Hoovillagers and having a FUN, COMFORTABLE and RELAXED time with the Hooville Gang at dinner, theater and the infamous pool party at Oliver's home (Thanks, Oliver!)... Good times!

 

4. David of San Francisco- David David David... What can I possibly say about David that hasn't already been said about him? All I can say about David Is that he Is nothing less than AMAZING! He's a good guy that genuinely cares about people and wants to help out anyway he can. He's an AMAZING provider and Is in a category of his own... He's cut out of a different kind of cloth than the rest of us and IMHO maybe that's why he's the fucking best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be. It seems to me that he's like gravity... he pulls everything towards him and it's so effortless for him. I've learned a lot from, David over the last few months and I hope that I will continue to learn from him and enjoy his friendship... Thanks, David, for being a good friend and a great mentor... you rock bud!!!

 

All that said, 2011 Is here gentlemen!!! I look forward to many adventures ahead which I hope you will share with me.

This is a new year... a new beginning and I hope to meet and make new friends and revisit old ones as well. All the best to all of you in 2011!!!

Its clear you have made a great many men's lives more fulfilling and the accolades seem very much well deserved. Yes im just that venemous in person. Lol comes with being a lawyer, a bear, a daddy (take that in whatever meaning you wish) so like a daddy bear im warm and cuddly just watch out for the fangs and claws when protecting what I care about. Congrats on your accomplishments… both personal and in the amazing way that you have influenced other peoples lives for the good. As the profession develops and the bar is raised higher and higher, it is an Honor to be held in such high regard in our Community and Family. There are so many nuances in this profession, ways that our lives become integrated and shared on numerous levels of Intimacy. Naked is not just something that happens on a physical level. It's all kinds of things~ It takes a lot for all involved to be all of that.

Fun, Laughter, Good Cheer and Great Sex can all be a part of this incredible sharing but additionally, there is the aspect of a deep ongoing gift of both learning and teaching along the way. The end result is a lifetime full of memories and experiences/adventures that make a difference in both the content and context of our interwoven lives and the world we live in.

The "oldest profession" has often times through history shown to be one of the most under-estimated, least understood and most influential Professions perhaps. You, as well as others-of-mention however, are the new founders of sort of "Male Geisha": revised, expanded, discovered. Even more noteworthy: impressive, eminent and honorable… (the privy bits AND the rest of the "package"~)… outstanding individuals making a difference.

Not too unsuspecting and surprising to hear the mention of coming into the Profession/Experience with "minimal tools and very little knowledge".

It's become so much so quickly and we are still in the process of understanding the depth and rules. It's important and essential that we have good Mentors like David, (and others including Clients), to guide and show the way for newcomer Escorts, Clients, Male to Male sexually/emotionally identified Men & (fill in the blank with your particular flavor). There is a lot to learn and good people to learn from… A message for Escorts and Clients collectively.

Good people mentoring can potentiate the coming of more good people, good business practices, Great adventures and Experiences.
