Is it just me, or is this Male Strip Club forum just becoming an advertising vehicle for LeBoyz and Adonis in NY? I don't see Campus, Stock (Montreal) or the Club in Atlanta doing this.

Is anyone else getting as annoyed about this as I am?

Why are you "annoyed".... because Adonis Lounge and LeBoyz keep us updated on what's going on at their clubs? or because the others don't? Everyone is welcome here and I truly appreciate all the information clubs are willing to share.

I guess because I thought this forum was primarily for customers to contribute their comments and reviews rather than the clubs to market their services. Whist it can be valuable for input from a club on an occassional basis (we see that from an owner or manager of Stock from time to time), in my view, the agressive marketing on this forum from these two clubs has reached the point of deminishing returns. Granted, I am not in the NYC area and do not frequent either club and therefore get little value from this. From a distance, it seems the forum has been taken over by these two clubs. I have tried to make contributions regarding other clubs outside of NYC, to give some balance. LeBoyz and Adonis have websites or facebook pages I assume that I can go to for information about an upcoming visit. That's what I did before going to Twist in Miami.....check out their website. I don't need Twist, or Stock, or Gold Coast to put an advert on the Male Strip Club Forum every week. Maybe its just me....just seems to be lots of clutter.

By the way, nothing against these clubs. Indeed, I do plan on visiting them when in NYC the next time.

The difference is...

As much as I'd like to see managers of other clubs posting their current info here, simply put, they don't... However, unlike the clubs in Montreal, Ft. Lauderdale, Atlanta, etc, Le Boyz and Adonis are only open one night a week. To my knowledge, neither has a web or Facebook page.

There is also a large following on this site of men who attend these NYC clubs. They have repeatedly asked for lineups, pictures, and info... both LeBoyz and Adonis have been kind enough to accommodate them.

By providing this information, it's not necessary for members to ask... Who's in the lineup? Any pictures? or What time does it open? However, if their once a week announcements do "annoy" you or other members I can ask them to tone it down.

Now, what do we do to get others to post info on clubs they attend?

Hope this helps in answering your question.

Thanks Coop.

I guess we just have a different view on the purpose of this forum. I see it as mainly a tool for customer/clients to post information and I use it as such both as a contributor and reader. Having said that, I am sure that others will agree with you. If the majority agree with the clubs using this as an advertising forum , then you certainly should continue with this for the greater good of the most people.

I hear you. I don't agree. However I understand. Peace.

Well, I am simply delighted that the forum gets activity, whether it be the venues informing us of what their line-ups are going to be or customers informing us about what they have experienced in their pursuit of male pulchritude in various different establishments. I remember reading (many years ago) the weekly posts of the Gaiety line-up by NYObserver. I often used that to determine whether I would travel to New York for the weekend or not. I don't mind the periodic updates from the NY clubs at all.

Although I don't participate in this forum - I read it daily. With these type venues and events seemingly becoming harder to find, I appreciate event promoters using the forum to keep us informed.

I love strip clubs and everything that comes with them. For whatever reason, urban cleansing has made them, in many instances, extinct.

My thanks to DJ AMG and everyone else for keeping it alive and promoted.

No offense but I couldn't disagree with you more. The forum is "Male Strip Clubs" and I find it extremely helpful that these clubs not only take the time to post what is happening each week (including pictures of the dancers sort of like the old Gaiety reviews which initially attracted me to the forum) but they also get feedback from the people who patronize the club which helps to make the events more enjoyable.

I wish all of the other clubs would follow suit.

I have to agree with LERBUT23: I would be thrilled if Boardwalk, Stock, Swinging Richards, or any of the other clubs would post their line-ups, indicate when "stars" were appearing, or gave thorough feedback on recent evenings there. In the meantime, I am most grateful for the postings regarding both LES BOYZ and ADONIS, both from the promoters and from the folks of Hooville who enjoy the nights there. As LERBUT said, I too joined to see the postings regarding the GAIETY (oh, how I miss ya!) and now enjoy these places as well. New York has changed and so has this board. Let's keep moving forward. And If you think there is too much being posted by the promoters and not enough by the customers, than chime in for yourself and tell us all what YOU think.

As a long-time reader of this forum---I think almost ten years---I miss postings about the strip clubs/bars in Montreal because I used to travel there much more frequently than I do now and looked forward to reading about the posters' experiences, etc. Since I rarely go to NYC I read the postings about the clubs there rarely. I do not think the moderator of this forum is responsible for the lack of postings about Montreal, Fort Lauderdale, Toronto---it is up to the members who travel to those clubs to generate postings and keep others informed. I wish I could go to Stock, Campus more often but several factors make it impossible. I'm very grateful to all those who do the grunt work to make this site possible and hope they will continue. Looking forward to seeing more postings from Montreal, and hope those who go will share.

Happy New Year to all.

The postings about Montreal always slow down substantially during the winter months because fewer tourists are visiting during the cold, snow-covered times. So, if you combine that with the cyber-bullying I (and a few others) received back this past spring about our reports on Montreal, I think it explains completely why the posts from travelers have dwindled. Why should travelers take the time and efforts to post about their adventures when they get bashed, ridiculed, and name-called by other posters, and management here sits idly by and allows it to happen. That is the main reason why I have cut my number of posts here WAAAAAAAAY back. Just my two cents worth..

Surely it is not an either/or case. The Internet is not going to run out of room. :)

Anyway, that is the point of thread titles: to let you see at a glance if you want to read the thread, or pass over it to the next one.

leeper, lerbut and others have given the answer I like best: not less posting from club management about coming lineups -- which I join others in finding very helpful -- but more posting from clients/attendees.

Of course lurker's point is well taken too. If patrons express differences of opinion about one club or another through flame and disparagement, what can we expect but diminished participation?

I love strip clubs and I have a job that takes me to lots of different cities so that I can enjoy the variation of the clubs. That said, I only get to NY a couple of times a year, so I like being able to log onto daddy's site and get the information quickly about lines

Ups and events. As others have stated, I wish more club promoters would take an active interest in posting, as it encourages discussion about their clubs......the good, the bad, and the ugly. Hell, most club managers can't be bothered to update their websites more than once every couple of years. There are a lot of clubs in this country that have strippers; most certainly do not live in the realm on swinging Richards or Adonis, but nonetheless, I think all of us who enjoy these venues would like to know of their existence and what they offer; who better then the managers or owners to get the ball rolling. To me, owners/managers posting is much like escorts posting in the other forums. They (escorts) post because they have something they want to contribute and it allows for additional exposure.

Have a great new year, everyone!!
