Museum of Sex

According to a NY Times article this morning, a Museum of Sex is opening in NY on Sept. 28th. The address is 233 Fifth Ave. at 27th Street. The admission s $17. Supposedly the space was a former brothel that operated into the 1990's. It has a web site http://www.museumofsex.com.

No word yet about opening a cafe. Too bad. It would be the ideal place to host the gathering of clients and escorts.

Thanks for the information on the Museum of Sex. After it opens, I'll check it out and see what it offers...FYI, it's location is not far from the Hotel Deauville. This is one of the few places left in NYC that still offers rooms at an "hourly" rate. ($50 for 4 hours).

I used the Hotel Deauville once several years ago. It came in handy for a few hours and is a relative bargain at $50 for 4 hours, especially for NY. All things considered, it wasn't too bad. I remember being surprised at how polite the woman at the desk was. It may not be the Ritz but it had a seedy charm that seemed in keeping with the seedy encounter I was having. I'm pleased it's still there. How appropriate that the Museum is in the same neighborhood. Thanks for the reminder.

If it's anything like the museum of sex in Berlin, it's gunna be hohum for this crowd but a real rush for str8 tourists from Iowa.

Doesn't say (unless I missed it) who's going to be at the "opening" of the museum celebrity-wise. I would HOPE they'd have some porn stars at the party. Thanks, Foxy; I'll put that on my list of "Places to Visit" when I hit NYC soon.
