I'm not sure this last guy is a vintage pic, but somehow he snuck into this folder. I hope you don't mind....

Vintage indeed! I actually knew the model in the second photo back in the late 1960s. If he's still alive, he's collecting Social Security now.

Charlie -- that's fascinating. Tell us a bit about him, please!

It's been more than 40 years, so the details are pretty fuzzy in my mind. I know that I met him through a friend in Philadelphia who aspired to be a physique photographer for the nascent gay magazine industry, that was growing even before Stonewall caused it to increase exponentially. He found the kid through an old time gay photographer in New York, who had used him for a shoot. I don't remember the kid's name; he was a student and claimed to be straight but flexible, i.e., he would let you blow him. He would only allow solo photos, no porno. He was really cocky, and obviously enjoyed the attention he got from gay men. In photos he looked taller than he was (about 5'10"), and he always wore that grin that was close to a sneer. Hot though he was, I found him pretty obnoxious.

 

Somewhere in my collection of old mags, I have other pictures of him. When I have time, I will look through them to see if I can find more info.

These and similar photos remind me of my late high school years sneaking into Manhaten after school was out, lurking around in the many many magazine stores that once dotted 42nd Street, and then taking in a film in one of the theatres there, and invariably, sitting in the dark in my high school "uniform" (jacket and tie) having a nice gentleman next to me with his hand caressing my inside theigh!!!! Oh, the great thrill when I was 18 and could secretly frequent the two or three gay male film cinima thetres in NY. Now THOSE were vintage - and long gone - years.

adriano, I'll bet we crossed paths there at times. I just returned from a visit to NYC, and there is remarkably little left there from our sordid past.
