It appears that British host Piers Morgan seems to be a lock for Larry King's job. It's been reported that the co-host of "Britain's Got Talent" and "America's Got Talent" was always CNN's first choice.

After months of speculation Larry King has announced that he's retiring from CNN later this fall. He cites a desire, at age 76, to "spend more time with his wife and young children." Yeah, and the drumbeat from CNN brass had nothing to do with the decision I'm sure.

Yup, like a crusty scab that you daren't pick at and that finally falls off all on its own.

Now that's hot!

unusual photo of Larry King - check out the shirt

Oh wow! That's that's a hot shot of him and I just love the hair. I do believe those are the same glasses that he wears today. This is some good trivia knowledge that I didn't know about him. :p

I still love you Larry. We all make mistakes even if it's with the fashion police.

Am I the only gay man alive that is really turned off by Kathy Griffin? I don't find her remotely funny but rather very annoying...

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!

I don't like her either. And I'm no fan of Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Madonna or Maria Callas too. All this time I thought I just had a defective gay gene.

Those aren't anywhere near the litmus test, of course.

I once spent a weekend in Palm Springs with a young escort who was telling me all about the music he was listening to on the drive down: Madonna, Streisand, etc.

We got in my car and when the stereo started up: CHER!

He turned to me and said "OK, you've out-gayed me!"

No Romann, you aren't. When you look up ob·nox·ious

Pronunciation: \äb-ˈnäk-shəs, əb-\

in the dictionary, there's a line drawing of Ms Griffin.

I don't really have an opinion of Kathy Griffin one way or the other. One media person I can't stand is perez hilton or that guy over TMZ. I wouldn't piss on perez hilton if his ass was on fire

Yes!

As far as K.Griffin..I ain't ONE OF HER GAYS!

THANK YOU for saying that! If there is one thing about that $%*&@ which really gets under my skin is how she says "Gays" which to me is an insult. I'm a person and I don't identify myself as one of those "Gays".

While I think she assumes it's funny, it really isn't and just another stereo-type that she continues to push.

UGH!

I'll get off my soap box now.

Romann I agree with ylou too on K. Griffin (and other poster on that idiot Perez), but have to say, I absolutely detest Larry King. Can't win 'em all, I guess. I have always found Larry King too obsessed with himself, especially in the last decade, and as one other pointed out, infatuated with pinheads and airheads of Hollywood.

Piers Morgan

Here's more on speculation that Piers Morgan may be King's replacement: http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2010/06/exclusive-americas-got-talents-piers-morgan-set-replace-larry-king. According to the article, "Morgan, the former editor of the UK's Daily Mirror who was sacked after publishing fabricated photos of British troops apparently abusing Iraqi detainees, is set to edge out CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric and American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest as a replacement."

So Apparently the real question is do any of "the Gays" here actually like Kathy Griffen, Cause I put her in the annoying and not funny category too.

King part 2!

I personally would like to see John King take over for Larry. Not much of a name change and it would be easy to switch the graphics over. ;)

John King: Total Package

Oh yeah, I'm with you Romann... John King would be a replacement choice I could totally sink my teeth into! I could watch and listen to John King read the phone book for hours! He's intelligent, a seasoned journalist/interviewer, and super sexy:

Great Choice. Your right Jack & Romann the total package, smart, witty, sexy... truly one of the few reporter types who actually comes across as bright and a pretty face not just the latter

You and Barbara Walters are the only gay men

That may be the funniest thing you've ever said on here!

I spotted La Wawa at the Barneys restaurant a year ago. She was a walking skeleton in leather skin -- some revenant that keeps moving despite the vital saps having drained out centuries ago. I wondered who was working the marionette strings, to keep her barely upright on her wobbly heels.

Unlike, for instance, Joan Rivers. Whom Andre and I ran into (pardon the familiarity but I got a pic of them with his arm around her; she is totally game to being a public figure) last summer at the then-running production of 'Our Town' in NYC. Despite all her plastic surgery, Joan still radiates life.

Ive seen him slip just ever so slightly from where he was to where he is now. I think many are right he is leaving at just the right time.

You are too kind. I agree that for a long time, he did things that no other journalist did. (Whether they would have wanted to may be another question.) Even fairly recently, who but Larry could have interviewed, with a straight face, Paris Hilton about the revelations that came to her in jail?

But for the last few years, whenever I look at him, I see a half-out-of-it mind. And a physical presence that more and more reminds me of the praying-mantis-like insect monster in 'Five Million Years to Earth.'

I find Kathy Griffin one of those things sort of like Vegemite. Interesting to try, but once is enough.

Now, AS, I can accuse you of being too kind...It is so unfair to that poor creaturre to be compared to Larry. Cruely to animals, i would call it.
