I haven't been following the other thread, but I'll take a stab at this: no justification necessary. He quotes a price and you either find it agreeable or not.

Perhaps he prefers to spend his time with only one other and sets his rates accordingly. There are plenty of guys who charge more for multiple clients and plenty who do not. If you were interested in such an arrangement, you might engage one of the latter.

Businesses and individuals use all sorts of strategies to try to devise effective prices for the various products and services that they offer. Customers who expect justifications for the prices are likely to be disappointed, because most of the time the answer will simply be "that's what we choose to charge; take it or leave it." In fact, I'd argue that in most cases that is exactly what the answer should be. The justification for the price of a product or service may be simply "that's the most that we think customers will pay for this" and, if so, it's an entirely legitimate strategy.

Escorts don't need to justify their prices to anyone. They can devise whatever prices they feel are effective and if they generate enough business at those price levels, then good for them. If not, then they may need to reevaluate their prices in order to generate more business.

You know, this is actually a good question because I wanna know how do hotels justify charging more for extra person(s). Or airlines for that pesky extra bag thats only 1 pound overweight?

In my case...its actually a talent to please 2 men at a time. 2 people do not get to share the buffet, they gotta pay separately. Or else you'd have 1 person running to the buffet line for a table of 6. Do you get where Im going here?

To me, all of those things are very easy to justify. (again, not that they have to)

The hotel has more of a mess to clean up, more towels, more shower water, etc.

The airline has to "handle" the extra bags, use more fuel to cart them.

The escort has to interact with two people, be in tune to two people, make two people happy.

Just my two cents... not that I have to justify my post. :-)

You may get a little pushback on the airline/baggage thing.

A friend was recently traveling with her husband when ONE of their suitcases was over weight and the airline wanted to charge extra. They did some quick rearranging, moved some books from one suitcase to the other. Suddenly both bags were under the limit. There was no charge.

The airline was still carrying the same weight.

Entertainment none the less

I didn't want to piggy back on the other thread, so I decided to start a new. Just a quick question?

How do escorts justify charging more for multiple client engagements? If I am paying for your time and not sex, what gives?

Does the movie theater charge for more than one? same movie. watched at the same time. do amusement parks charge for more than one?

Escorts don't usually charge full price for the second "ticket"

And just what type of review would an escort get if they sat on the couch and talked for the entire appointment. I mean after all you are paying for time? :)

Just a thought... :-)

Big Huggs! xoxo

What a great line - 2 don't get to share the buffet! LOL! HA! <3!

My last encounter involved salad, entree and dessert buffets with a wine course as well!

So Ryan, if I wanted you to talk to my husband and me for an hour, one of us would get the second discounted ticket? Which one?

Here's what I am getting at.... In all the ads, most escorts say that they are charging for time, NOT SEX. If escorts are charging for SEX, wouldn't that make websites like rentboy and m4rn illegal? From what it sounds like on this board, in reality, escorts are charging for SEX, not time, and only use time as a cover up.

All is true except for the escort. If the escort is charging for time and not "SEX", then how do you quantify time? When you hire an consultant, you pay per time, no matter how many people the consultant interacts with. Just imagine if an consultant tell you "I am going to charge you $150 an hour for every person that talks to me regardless of how many minutes I talk to each person.". That seems to be what some escorts are doing.

When I go to m4rn or rentboy, I select a guy based on his qualifications (age, height, weight, muscular build, etc). Based on his qualifications and advertised rate (just like a consultant), I hire the escort on my choice (escorts don't like to negotiate rates because at that point they think your the cops)/ As most ads say, "Charges are for TIME spent with your adult entertainer / escort. Consenting adults are free to do whatever they desire." If there are two of us, how can an escort charge for two people when the same hour is being used, and based upon the fact their their rates are non-negotiable and they don't like to discuss rates, because at that point, your not talking about charging for time, your talking about charging for SEX!

Overall, escort are suppose to be charging for TIME, NOT SEX! If two people are spending time with one escort, it is still one hour of the escorts time, not two!

Yes but even as an attorney who charges hourly. I charge more for a multi defendant case than one alone. Why. Because I have to work harder to please two clients in the same time. Just as an escort will have to work harder. Whether he is escorting you to dinner or his bed. During your allotted time.

the short answer is in your own post

Consenting adults are free to do whatever they desire."

YES its a legal protection and a well thought out language.

if it were not said you and the escort could be prosecuted for a crime

with no recourse.

I am pretty certain I see what your trying to say many may assume your trying to score a deal but you may just be trying to play devils advocate and bring up a " theory".

Its a complex point to navigate when you try to tip toe around the specifics via phone or email even in person.

keep it simple

You might say "what is the rate for this type of encounter?" and then the choice is up to you at that point.

You accept it or you decline. (see post #2 by Kevin Slater)

I guess all i can add is :

Most escorts are in business for themselves therefore they can charge whatever they want, any way they want, with any kind of price configurations they feel they can market.

Of course you are free to make that argument to them.

I would be very curious to know what the reaction spectrum would be like.

anyway I hope you now know what has been in the language of any escort website / ads for ages for legal reasons as much for your protection as it is for their own. :)

Stop reading into it so much! Escorts are not video rental lockers where you and 3 buddies can cram in and watch for an allotted time...

2 people is more work than 1. Period. Even working with another escort (which some do/don't charge extra for) can be alot of work.

As for the code words/phrases, I say fuck that. I seen someone on a certain website say, "150 hugs for X amount of time". I was like, what the fuck? Nah...I dont want hugs, I want money...in the form of dollar bills! And I will make it clear on my site thats what I want.

i'm with Slater and DavidSF on this one.

fact is, the additional person does require a different way you spend your time - regardless of what you are doing with them. think of when you're talking with a friend, and another friend of yours comes up, and they don't know each other. the dynamic changes, and sometimes you feel the burden of keeping both of them in the conversation.

in my business, i charge a different price if i am hired by two people of the same sex, or two people of the opposite sex. fact is, it's usually a helluva lot more work for me - mentally, i mean... not physically - dealing with a man and a woman, as opposed to two men, or two women.

My last consultant charged me $2,500 per day plus expenses. That's time& travel from his doorstep to return, with no fractional days.

My escort charged me $300/session and he provided the lube, condoms, shower gel and towels at no additional charge.

I'd rather my consultant learn from my escort.
