Going to IML for the first time in Chicago. Question for those who have been there in the past--where is the best place to find really hot action? Won't be staying at the Hyatt...

I went to IML last year. If you aren't staying at the host hotel, you'll definitely find hot action at Steamworks http://www.steamworksonline.com/chicago/chicago.html.

The line to get into the place was long every single night, but the steamy scenes taking place with hot men all over this place were well worth the wait. If you are a voyeur, exhibitionist, a one-on-one-sex-guy, or looking for group sex, you'll love it there. I sure as hell did. Hot, Hot, Hot! Good luck and have fun at IML. Wish I was going again this year.

Simply walking aroung the Hyatt hotel lobby is a visual feast, and full of pretty hot and heavy cruising.

I would recommend that anyone consider checking it and the vendor market out even if you aren't planning to register or attend any official events.

Even if leather is not ones thing you are likely to see guys in whatever obscenely hot, kinky, or studly attire you might enjoy.

Even a few blocks from the Hyatt you are likely to being realizing that several thousand of the conventioneers and tourists this weekend are a bit different than the usual Society of Dental Acounting Cookware show attendees.

IML 2010, host hotel and some exciting news

Did the Palmer House finally fall down?

The Hilton Palmer House has a great ballroom and I love the lobby and the decor of all of it, however this property has become too small to host and accommodate the size of this growing event. The large Hilton Hotel on 720 South Michigan Ave. across Grant Park wasn't a good choice last year (2009) and now the organizers are back to the Hyatt Regency hotel on East Wacker Drive (across Chicago River and just a few steps from Magnificent Mile and the Lake front) which with his East and West tower is still the largest convention hotel in Chicago. The entire 2,000-room hotel is taken over and turned into a giant leather playground. It's worth checking out the Leather Mart at the Hyatt (get your tickets early) and even take a tour of the guest-floors (if you're staying at the hotel) ... verified sources say that you may get lucky!

During IML: there's one main contest, two mega dance-parties at House of Blues and Excalibur, and a multitude of other small events all around the city. Check out this helpful link for more details, schedules and some history about the event http://www.edgeboston.com/index.php?ch=nightlife&sc=&sc2=features&sc3=&id=105339

A new fact not mentioned in that article is that starting this year 2010, IML's President Chuck Renslow refuses to include bareback vendors, videos and other bareback paraphernalia in the Leather Mart and all around the event. Personally, me, myself and I strongly support his decision when we take into consideration the fact the HIV/AIDS epidemic is not over, there's no cure yet and the alerts coming from CDC and the local health officials are informing us that new infections are on the rise. I've already heard that some participants were more than disappointed in his decision and that wouldn't stop them from buying those items from somewhere else, but I think in this case IML is taking a side and making a step against the promotion of barebacking porn material and I think that's a step in a new direction.

I hope everyone attending IML will have lots of fun! It seems like a promising Memorial Day weekend in Chicago. And the weather will be cooperating - sunny with temperatures around 75°F for the entire weekend.

Cheers, Steven ~

I've heard stories about dental conventions....

the conventioneers and tourists this weekend are a bit different than the usual Society of Dental Acounting Cookware show attendees.

Well I can understand that the accounting and cookware convention attendees might be quite a bit tamer... but I have heard that there definitely is an S&M component to most dental conventions with the conventioneers getting quite a bit involved in a variety of quite dire and ominous tools of the trade...

Not so fast...

Maybe not. I'm guessing there's been more than few CPAs that have been hogtied around a barbecue spit.

It's always the quiet ones...

...CPAs...

Spanky... you are probably right as it is usually the "reserved and introverted" types that are often the most rowdy players... the accountants, actuaries, statisticians, deep thinkers, etc. of this world...

However, I would bet that one would still be able to learn quite a bit from attending the average dental convention as far as creative, inventive, and out of the ordinary "tools of the trade" are concerned...

Think Marathon Man for starters...

For an update, my partner and I went to Steamworks last night and WOW! Yes, when we left, the line was down the block and inside it was packed with totally horned up guys. My bf and I took turns fucking a guy who could kiss like nobody's business (and he took a spin fucking my bf as well, which was very hot for me to watch), and then while we were walking down the hall, a hot guy grabbed my bf and led him (with me in tow, holding my bf's hand) into a room and fucked the daylights out of my bf while I watched. We all came in a huge group orgasm.

Talk about fun! Thanks for the recommendation, guys!
