Has anyone been here recently? Are there VIP areas? I'm in Chicago where we are seriously deprived of any good strip clubs. Thinking of making a road trip over to Detroit.

 

Also, is anyone familiar with any strip clubs in Indianapolis?

Indy's "Unicorn Club"

 

I've spent many over-nights in Indianapolis and have thoroughly enjoyed most of those evenings at the city's only all-male gay strip club, the Unicorn Club. Quality of performers and their performances can vary from time to time, but it's almost always crowded and usually the other patrons are as fun & friendly as the dancers. Majority of the dancers, if not all, strip till their nude. It's a private club, but a cover and drivers license will get you in. Open 7 nights. Safe parking in a quieter section of downtown Indy. Gold coast in detroit is now smoke-free. The state of michigan went smoke-free as of May 1st, 2010.

 

The strip club across the detroit river in windsor, ontario canada is also smoke-free. It used to be called The Happy Tapp. They changed the name to Legends of 2012.

 

They only have like 1 or 2 dancers when ive bee nthere o nthe weekends. It's open but very empty (of dancers) alll week long.

I havent been to the Gold Coast since last year. Last Saturday was my first visit since my state of Michigan went smoke-free (except Casinos).

 

The smoke-free air is amazing. The owners repainted and re-carpeted the entire club, so you wont have any trace of cigarette smoke on your skin or clothes. Awesome!

 

Anyways, on Saturday i met this cute twink who is 19. He told me he would give me 4 lap dances at $20 per sonhg, for a total of $80. At 3:30 minutes per song, thats only 14 minutes for a lot of money ($80).

 

I gave him my business card and we exchanged numbers. He then said he would give me a full half hour for the $80, instead of just 4 lap dances.

 

The bottom line is he only ended up giving me 14 minutes (or 4 lap dances), even though we agreed t o30 minutes. I later realized he was high on some drug (hence his giggling at weird times). They where the worst lap dances ever. I wasnt happy.

 

So tonight I ended up going back (monday). The club was literlaly empty of customers. I was the omly customer the entire night. They had like 8 dancers, and only one customer, even though the parking lot was full from the employees cars.

 

That same twink dancer who scammed me last time immediately starts talking to me. I kid you not, he wanted me to f*** him in the back room for $60. They refer to the back room as the "Oasis" room. This is the same room that all the strippers do their lap dances in.

 

Anyways, he then started randomly talking about himself as "Mr. Safety" and says he always carries condoms and lube on his person so he can get f***ed in the back room. He claims to get tested for HIV and STD's every single month, and quote "the minute i get that s*** is the minute i quite this business, because there is no way i'm spreading that s*** to other people."

 

Keep in mind i never asked to f*** him in the back room, and i neevr asked about his HIV or STD status, he just randomly blurted it out since he was high on coke/weed.

 

I declined his offer to f*** him for $60, and suggested i drive him home so he doesnt have to pay for and take the bus. I took him out to eat at IHOP.

 

It's funny how he made me pay $80 for 4 lap dances on Saturday, which lasted 14 minutes where he just sat on my lap with his underwear on. And then just two days later he wanted me to f*** him in the back room for $60.

 

I just felt that was real yucky. I found out through our conversations that he smokes a lot of weed, and does drugs. He also refers to himself, and his fellow strippers, as *****s. Wow.

 

I guess people dont go to strip clubs looking for a boyfriend, but the reality really set in when he offered his "services" to everyone. It's like whoever has money can f*** him. It's like goijng to mcdonalds and ordering a big mac.

 

I guess thats the principle of prostitution/escorting, but it's a real turn off to me... as opposed to having a real boyfriend (who may or may not cheat on you).

 

I guess most "clients" would have been thrilled to be in my situation. lol

I just returned from four days in Detroit. I managed to get to Club Gold Coast on Thursday and Sunday. Thursday was just dead. Four dancers and 5-6 customers. I tend more towards the macho masculine types. It was somewhat slim pickings for this on Thursday. However, there was a cute blond with as somewhat worked out body.......and I did a few dances in the back with him. Sunday was better.....although not great. Best worked out body was with Shane. Works seasonally as a cement mason but gets layed off every winter so he dances during the slower construction months. I spent more time with him in back. He was probably the only one I was interested in that night. There were 5-6 other dancers but most were slender and twink types. Nothing against that but just not my thing.

 

I have gone to Gold Coast for decades. One never knows what to expect. There have been times when it was actually very good. Other times it is just OK. And occassionally it is downright dreadful.

 

For those of you that are familiar with the club over the years, I was informed during my visit that long-standing (he had been at Gold Coast for 20 years) bartender Dennis had recently passed awayunexpectedly. Really sad as he always seemed happy and we always had a nice chat when I would visit. He was a gay bartending legend in Detroit.

I was just in the Motor City to attend the auto show and I managed to get to the Gold Coast on a Saturday and Sunday night. Had a good time both nights. Luckily, there were a good selection of masculine muscle guys on both nights. There were some twinky skinny guys there as well but I really don't pay attention to those types of guys so I cannot comment if they were attractive or not.

 

Had some backroom time with two different guys and I left the bar perfectly satisfied. Montreal-style entertainment in back..... although with somewhat less privacy. The key is to get there early before the back gets busy. Then you have a better chance of privacy.

 

Both nights were reasonably busy but not packed with customers. There seemed to be 10-12 dancers each night.
