It's been a long battle but I'm pretty well now. Thank you all for encouraging private messages, emails, gifts and etc. I have never felt so loved. Thank you for sharing your lives here and reading and replying to my endless/pointless posts. Otherwise, I would have been extremely bored. I can work full time now and still have enough energy to do other things. With my newly found energy, I plan to start working on my garden this weekend. I will plant something in honor of you guys for being so wonderful to me during a challenging time in my life. I haven't figured out what to plant yet. Something sweet. I'm glad that it's over. :)

Greattttttttt

That is so great to hear Greatness. You are one of the most kind, sensitive posters here. I believe that such an attitude and way of looking at life give back to the owner as well as enriches the live of many others.

At this time in my garden near Boston, I am eagerly waiting for my early bloomers to show up. You might consider peonies for your flower. While they only bloom for a few weeks in early spring, they are a perfect long-lived perennial which is very fragrant and beautiful. Consider this just a suggestion. I think that you can probably choose on your own for something meaningful for you.

Again, Best Wishes for your Health.

Congratulations on your recovery. If Daddy's Reviews helped you, perhaps you could plant something new:

Hydrangea plant named ‘Lemon Daddy’

United States Patent PP17660

A new and distinct cultivar of Hydrangea plant named ‘Lemon Daddy’, characterized by its compact and mounded growth habit; large and thick yellow green-colored leaves; and large inflorescences with light pink-colored flowers.

Hydrangea macrophylla Lemon Daddy

Or, you could plant the Hosta ‘Big Daddy’

Or,

Grand Daddy Purple/Romulan

Here's the Hosta Big Daddy, took me a minute to find it:

May I suggest roses

I'd suggest you plant some roses... the flower most associated with love... love for you, love for us all and mostly love for our lovers... red, white, lavender, yellow and some new varieties of red that are almost black... they need tender loving care, so you can't plant them and forget about them, but hybrid tea roses in a garden will bring much joy to you and anyone who visits.

There is probably a rose named Great or Greatness and one named Big Daddy too, or if not, we'll have to go about breeding one.

I know you were in the hospital recently but not the reason. In any event I am happy to hear you have recovered and moving forward with your life. All the best to you big G.

I second the peony suggestion!

Thanks!

Thank you again all. I feel like I'm going to fly (not on medication so don't worry) because I feel so much better. My gardner is MIA and couldn't get in touch with him. He is on vacation and I hope he comes back to work in May. I usually prepare him lunch and he eats whatever I prepare for him deliciously. He is taken. Straight and married. :(

Did your cute gardener ever report back to work?

I think tulips are a great addition to any garden. I think they are quite simple but elegant in their special way, especially the deep deep dark purple ones. I missed the post that you were under the weather but I am glad you are doing better. I honestly look forward to your posts even if you think they are silly. Hope our paths cross one of these days. Wishing your health continues to stay on the good foot :)

Hugs,

Greg

Tulips and (two lips) are something I like planting deep and then enjoy watching the product of my efforts rising up.

Impatiens are very colorful and relatively easy to grow.

I thought you had a vegetable garden greatness.

it's a big garden

I had tulip bulbs planted in my front garden last fall. They are so beautiful. My friend came over and took pictures of them. I will post some pictures here once my friend send them to me. I have some roses growing in the back yard. I don't have a vegetable garden. I have a herb garden though.
