7 days a week of go-go boys

Yes! Tonight at the 20 Club we were asked to provide our email addresses so we can receive an invitation to the Grand Opening of the new 20 Club. The name will be changed but, as of yet, it hasn't been announced.

It will be a new club. The old kitchen of the 20C has been completely gutted and a new stage, bar, lounge area, bathrooms, champagne rooms, etc. will all be completed in about 2 months.

As Ed mentioned, there will be a new entrance on 19th Street as the VIP gentlemen's club will still be operating Mon-Sat.

It's great to know that NYC will finally be getting an all week male strip club.

Since most of the details are still in the planning stage, this is all I can report on at this time.

Follow up...

As a follow up to this announcement, I'm sure many of the 20C regulars have questions related to hours of operation, whether or not out-of-town dancers will be working there, costs, will the lineups rotate each week, etc.... However, right now the managements priority is getting the club opened in 2 months, then, address all the particulars.

In speaking with the manager Joe (not the Joe/Jay who organizes the dancers) and Ed the host, they really are trying to target the men who frequent these clubs and spend their money on drinks/lap dances. I'm sure that will lead to early evening hours and 2-4-1 specials. Operating the club to attract the business men or convention goers before they head home for the night is something they'll be looking into.

I was impressed with the information that both Joe and Ed shared with me. They know their business and are interested in hearing from us.

Good news

Thanks guys for the info; let's hope they just follow the Gaiety model which worked well: rotating dancers, including a headliner/porn star. I assume the limited hours will not enable dancers to make the kind of money they did uptown, but as there is no other place for them in this area they should be able to attract some good headliners who want to come east.

That's great news. I hope they can make it a success! I imagine it would be a smaller scale club than the current Club 20 with its roster of 25-30 dancers at times ... Although there is no shortage of talented waiters, graphic designers, students, personal trainers and assorted others in NYC who happily take their briefs off for inspection by discerning connoisseurs of the male anatomy ;)

Look forward to hearing more about this. It would be great to have an opening party on the anniversary of the date that Gaiety closed its doors. That would be a COUP !!!!! Or is that a 'COOP'? LOL
