I have hired the best of the Street Hustlers and the best of the Escorts. Here are my thoughts.

 

First, everyone is entitled to go for what they want. That goes for both sides of this transaction, the client and the provider.

 

I have serious concerns and dislikes however, about how some Escorts have commercialized this business. Now when you go to their websites you have to buy a membership to see the X-rated Pics. They sell photo's of themselves, they sell Jock straps, T shirts and videos of themselves. They have fan pages and chat boards on their sites. They have journals of their day to day activities. They list scheduled appearances. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

This has gotten way out of hand! I want you to fuck my brains out, not do a concert. I want to see you in my shower, not on "Days of our Lives." I want to know how big your cock is, not what your Mom cooked for you when you were a kid.

 

SOME escorts have egos the size of Tx. and think we should treat them as celebrities. When the fact of the matter is, this business started out for sex. The fact you have these expensive sites and offer all these products above and beyond what we really came here for is annoying to ME.

This thread has been asked and answered. Rick Munroe makes several of the points I might make, albeit in much briefer form. Rod Hagen is wracked with guilt and perhaps in several weeks (or months) make come to find a middle ground between every minute must be accounted and paid for and the IT'S JUST SEX, STUPID! school of thought.

 

Will makes some very good points elsewhere and they have been made by others as well. I will summarize them in two sentences (yes, amazing, is it not, though I concede the first is your classic run-on sentence).

You have to understand that a lot of people don't have anything iinteresting going on in their lives, so they focus on the experiences they do have and try to make them into something more than they are. To me hookers of a certain age are all more or less interchangeable, so I agree with you that spending a lot of time thinking and talking about the merits of various hookers is a weird thing to do. One way to facilitate this is pricing. As a recent convert to the "more expensive first hour / cheaper additional hours" system, I like how it makes it more financially feasible for a client, if he so chooses, to envelop the main event in something more like a date --while implicitly acknowledging that perhaps not all blocks of our time are valued equally. :*

 

Personally I like having a mix of short meetings and longer visits in my work week, and I think the mix benefits everybody, including those who like to keep it short and sweet. Well, unless you are often a client as well as an escort I have probably spent more time with more escorts than you have. That's the thing about the comments escorts make on this board. They have plenty of experience with clients, but unless they have often been clients themselves, how much do they really know about what other escorts actually do on the job?
