This is one of those times I just shake my head in wonderment.

A good friend of mine escorts part time. He recently tested positive for Syphilis.

Being the honorable sort of guy he is, he notified everyone he'd been with recently, including a client.

Two weeks later, the client responded saying "I'm sorry it turned out this way but you were too hot to pass up."

Apparently, the client found out he had it a few days before his business trip and went ahead with the appointment anyway, KNOWINGLY passing along an STD. And he's only mildly apologetic about it.

To me, this is the epitome of being a jerk. Health issues aside, it hangs the escort out to dry for medical expenses that add up to just about what the client paid.

Does anyone else find this behavior reprehensible?

I sure do. It is perhaps one of the few times that I would support the escort duing his duty and warning the client's wife (if he had one)

Selfish asshole. At the very least, I'd call up the wife if I were him. Clients have as much responsibility as escorts when it comes to divulging health information. This story makes me sad.

I don't think there's a wife involved.

The client's screen names have been posted on the escort-only "psycho clients" mailing list, though. :7

The guy's attitude just floors me. "I probably got it from another escort anyway."

It's not only reprehensible but isn't it also illegal? I know there were laws passed concerning the intentional transmission of the AIDS virus. While other STD do not have the death record of AIDS, couldn't the same laws be applied here?

This guy is the safest guy I know. And that's the really scary part. You bet your ass he was using protection. But as you know, few people use a condom when sucking cock, and Syphilis can be transmitted that way.

It can also be transmitted by kissing.

Syphilis is HIGHLY contageous and that's one reason medical authorities are required to report it when it is diagnosed. My pal had to go through a call from the Board of Health asking for the names of all the people he'd had sex with recently so that they could be notified.

I don't think the laws about HIV transmission are Federal. I *think* (someone correct me if I'm wrong) they're state laws, and in only a few states.

Syphilis is not deadly if caught and treated early.

This episode brought back vivid memories of high school health class and slides showing chancre sores on various body parts. I remember having to get my parents to sign a permission form to be in class that day, and wishing they hadn't consented. ;-)

<...this was the epitome of being a jerk.>

It is far worse than this: the guy/client is a fucking, irresponsible, inconsiderate ass hole if there ever were one! His actions remind me of the German film TAXI CUM LO or something like that. The protagonist was a sexoholic and went into the hospital for some sort of major illness; instead of his staying there until he had fully recuperated, he hit those streets and fucked and sucked...

Could not the bastard/client had waited until he were over his illness then engage the services of the escort?

I had wanted to see a favorite escort (well-known star in films for men) just last week. I had wanted to see him this past Saturday; the escort emailed me and stated that he had a summer cold but would like for me to email him again on Friday. Well, I thought about his predicament and my health and did email him on Friday and stated that I wanted him to be in 100% condition, thus let's meet before summer's end.

Another escort/friend of mine cut his cock while shaving. Did we have our engagement on the scheduled evening? No! Both were concerned; both considered to postpone until he had completely healed. In the interim, he gave me a FREE hour when we did meet. And men, it was a torrid session.

When I have been ill or have had other emergencies occur, I've cancelled the appointments-- explaining TRUTHFULLY the reasons for the cancellations. (I consider the men that I engage to be hot! So that was a lame excuse to give someone an STD!!!)

(This client should PAY for the escort's hospital/medical bills!)

The escort SHOULD TELL the client to go fuck himself after all is done and never see that mofo again!)

I'm usually NOT vicious, but this has me riled.

Riled is a nice, mild way to describe my mood when my pal, hands shaking, told me this story, sitting on a blanket in Chicago's Grant Park.

If I'd had the client's information, I would have been tempted to break this site's confidentiality rules and post it.

This execrable individual knew he had an STD, and a highly contagious one at that, and went ahead with the appointment. Further, he waited for the escort to contact *him* dutifully informing him to be tested, and two weeks later replied "Oh, sorry, but you were too hot to pass up."

Good candidate for post-natal abortion, in my opinion.

Interesting topic. I had just posted a message asking if anyone had contacted an STD from an escort and here some client intentionally infects an escort. I am glad to know that the escort warned his other clients and was wondering if that is standard in the industry.

I think the client should be shot or given a session with Ms. Bobbit! It seems to me escorts deserve much more respect than was afforded in this situation. It also seems the sex was nonconsenual because no escort in his right mind would knowingly have sex with someone with syphillis. . .at least I would hope not.

From your mouth to God's ear! You or I might be the escort's next client!

The disclosure happened weeks after the escort tested positive. The sex was consentual because nothinng was disclosed until later.

The only "safe" way to have sex is to have a good video collection and plenty of good toys and pleasure yourself.

It would be nice if it weren't that way, but it is.

True, the penal statutes for this are on an individual state basis, and for the most part deal with HIV and Aids, however, the negligent infliction of a serious STD is absolutely something that the 'receiver" could sue for but not something most what to turn into a public spectacle unfortunately--I think a jury would give your friend a large verdict plus punitive damages even knowing he was an escort, but then the evidence could be used by some crusading district attorney to prosecute him for prostitution--it's too bad. Some prosecutors will balance the worse evil--I was recently able to arrange an immunity agreement with a prosecutor so he could prosecute the felony blackmail statute a client was threatening an escort with--it ended with the client pleading guilty and no court, but still it stopped the problem.

Your friend rightfully is entitled to a lot of compensation from the asshole client knowingly spreading a STD--the problem is because of his profession, he probably won't get justice, and that's too bad :(

What an outrageous and hateful thing to do to someone!

Luckily for those who were with your escort friend, he had kept the contact information and was able to tell those whom he'd been with recently about this situation.

Was this the first time your friend had seen this psychopathic client? No doubt it'll be the last time your friend sees him!

It's sobering to think about. What if this had been an STD that couldn't be treated. All you need is a handful of amoral people like this guy, and there could be a significant rise in infection levels for the STD in a particular area. And the way we travel today, it wouldn't stay isolated in one particular geographical area.

Beyond being a jerk the clients action was criminal. It's very sad when someone would intentionally harm another person :( Yes, I'm an old hippie.

Deej, in all of this discussion, one item hasn't been mentioned:

I certainly hope your escort friend named the guy who gave him this "gift" in the list of sexual contacts he had to give the Board of Health. If the creep's got a wife or boyfriend, the Board of Health will end up contacting that person, and at a minimum Mr. Client is gonna have a whole lotta 'splaining to do. . . }>

Yep, first and only time with this client.

And, unfortunately, last time with ANY client. He's decided to take his pretty little butt off the market.
