My partner and I are planning a trip to San Francisco this fall and will probably be there for the Folsom Street Fair.

In planning the exact dates of our travel, we will be there for two weekends, one of which would the date of the fair.

Is there any benefit to being in town the week PRIOR to the fair versus being there the week after the fair?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Folsom

I don't know about the week before, but I was there with a few other escorts last year for the week after Folsom and none of us worked. I think everyone is worn out ;-)

Now this is a fair question. Not knowing SF at all, I will give a general answer. I would rather start with a big party and see what adventures might ensue based on meeting new people rather than go to a big party and then go home and possibly back to work.

Yes, it matters.

The Castro Street Fair is the weekend after Folsom Street so, if you have a choice, start with the FSF and end with Castro. Castro is certainly more tame but brings boys out too.

As the only local so far to chime in, I agree with the others.

Come Thursday before FSF and stay for Castro. Castro Fair is much more amalgamated and tame with families attending.

If you have 2 weeks, after Castro drive down the coast to Big Sur and chill.

Don't know your tastes, just trying to give you accurate info.
