Many thanks for the suggestions. It amazed me that I have seen so many of them already, which means either that I am well-filmed, ot that gay films are much more mainstream these days.

Nonetheless, I did find some titles here to add, so I do appreciate the help.

I would add 'The Sum of Us', with (pre-superstar) Russell Crowe & a nice performance by Jack Thompson, about a father and gay son.

Also, if it wasn't mentioned earlier, 'Love! Valour! Compassion', with Jason Alexander & John Glover.

Oh I loved that one. . .

A Home at the End of the World (Colin Farrel as a Puppy)

I thought this was a really good film.

btw I would add Loot, Winslow Boy and Taps as others you might want to watch Lucky.

I loved TAPS Plus there was a great Shower Scene with the very young Tom Cruise, Timothy Bottoms, Sean Penn -

Similar Hot Shower Scene in SCHOOL TIES Starring a Beautiful young but buff Brendan Frasier shower wrestling with a naked twinky Matt Damon with his boyhood buttbuddy Ben Affleck also nekkid in the shower - WOOF

I do love Brendan - and he proved his stuff as an actor in GODS AND MONSTERS - as well as being hot-buff and nekkid - Great film as usual SIR IAN McCLELLAN was excellent

For whom ever mentioned them - the following - THANKS - I had forgotten how much I enjoyed :

JEFFERY with the delightfully sexy fun Steven Weber and Captain Jean Luc Piccard - Patrick Stewart as the perfect queen-mother!

MAMBO ITALIANO

and Kevin Kline co-starring with right-wing Gun-tottin Homophobe Tom Selleck in IN & OUT

You've also exposed me to some titles that I need to check out - Thanks to ALL who contributed to this thread!

BTW - Thought not a GAY Film - Just Saw this afternoon "ITS COMPLICATED" starring

MERYL (Id Pay to See You Read Soup Can Labels - you're so fabulous) STREET,

ALEC BALDWIN and Steve Martin - A Smart, funny, comedic-drama - well written, well acted, and a Still Hot - 97% Exposed Big Bear of an Alec Baldwin!

If not love . . .

Although ferocious, hairy, masculine and WILD in the sack . . .

Bears are delightful creatures whose feeeling can be hurt when others disparage our

apppeal due to our inherent "Bearfulness." <sniffle-sniffle-small sigh> : )

Maybe if you were Cub or Bearlike I could fall in LUST with you!

But instead of being Butt and Bed Buddies - WE COULD BE POPCORN PALS!

Let me know if you ever get to Philly - I'll take you for a cinematic session.

We have a GREAT Movie chain in the City called THE RITZ - all first run - combination of

"Art and Popular Films" at 3 Theatres on 11 Screens

- No screaming kids, Clean comfy theatres - and the Concession stands

(which are reasonably priced by movie theatre standards) serve a great espresso and

biscotti and there are flowers in the bathrooms.

On the favorite movie of all time thread, I listed some of these. Shocking, I know, that most of the movies I like these days have to have some kind of gay element...

Beefcake

Bugarian Lovers

Open Cam

Hard

Wedding Banquet

Streamers

Love and Human Remains

Chain of Desire

Bad Education

Longtime Companion

It's My Party

Jeffrey

And there you are

R u Invited?

"Edge of Seventeen" is a very good film. I recently watched "Another Country" again. It's quite good. Cary Elwes is stunning in this movie. "Maurice" is another of my favorites. Although most of my friends find it way to depressing I can't get enought of "Death in Venice." It's like watching a painting. Yes, it's a bit slow : -) It's beautifully shot. It's directd by Luchino Visconti. Dirk Borgade is brilliant and the boy who plays Tadzio is haunting. Mahler's 5th the F major Adagietto works to haunting effect in this adaptation of the Thomas Mann novella.

Also for the Javier Bardem/Penelope Cruz Fans there is a Movie called "Jamon-Jamon" (Spanish Subtitles) which they made together when they were in their Teens!

Bardem has a few Nude Scenes..A Hunk also in his Younger days!

I had a VHS Copy at one time, but I am sure it made it to DVD Hopefully! :D

"Jamon Jamon" is a classic! Unfortunately it has never been available at Netflix; bizarre, because the combination of two hot, young, and eventually VERY famous Spanish actors should have made it a hit.

Bardem is SO hot in that movie!

And definitely the scene of him and the other hung guy naked at night pretending a bullfight is VERY hot and slightly "homo", and so is the scene where the "Mrs Robinson" character is searching for the hottes man in briefs...:)

Great movie, crazy as most Spanish movies, but great!

Wild Reeds

Can someone answer a question for me on this movie? It's in French, and subtitled. But, it is clear that not all of the French is being translated, in fact, great chunks seem to be missing, which does not make it easy to follow.

Is that the way it is supposed to be, or do I have bad disc?

I've not seen it, but sometimes have a similar situation when I watch the director's cut (or extended version, or whatever) of some movies. Sometimes the restored parts don't get subtitled. I doubt that's the case here, but just a thought.

There is a relatively new movie called 'Shelter' that I really fell in love with.

It is a beautiful love story set in California: The two guys are very handsome who star in it, and, as a plus, for a lifestyle movie the acting isn't half bad. The soundtrack from this movie features a favorite artist of mine, Shane Mack. All of Shane's music is based on his ex lover.

This movie is close to the top of my list, but nothing tops 'Too Wong Foo.' Wesley Snipes in a dress... How can you go wrong?

A really lovely movie. And it features a real "May-December" romance as well.

Trick, of course. So cute.

Broken Hearts Club. Timothy Olyphant. Need one say more? Great film about gay friendship.

The Dying Gaul. Really frightening and not specifically gay but 2 of the 3 lead characters are gay.

Has anyone mentioned a couple of films from the 60s, "Advise and Consent" and "Victim" with Dirk Bogarde? They're both downers, but were considered very advanced for their time.

There's a film - I think it's on Netflix - called "For A Lost Soldier"... Dutch... about a 12 year-old boy who falls in love with a Canadian soldier who liberates his town after WWII. I saw it years ago and it dealt very sweetly with a very hot-button topic. As I remember the boy does a lot of the pursuing... and as I remember, my hormones were going wild around 12 and 13!
