Mark, I am talking about paid advertising,, such as banners. I am not talking about those who try to sneak in some free ads.

As a matter of fact, if Men"s Cream will send me some free samples, I will add a mention of them in my signature line!

And, if Andre in Raleigh will give me a free overnight, I will put his picture on my profile page....oops, it's already there, for free!

Lucky, I understood exactly what you were referring to and this was the concept I was supporting in my reference to "direct advertising." The other issue I was raising was whether the agencies who do effectively advertise on this site through their posts pay for the service.

Over the course of what is now what? Twelve years? -- Can it really be that long? -- I've only told one escort that I was Boston Guy. That was about six years ago. He was a very prominent poster at that time and we had often exchanged comments online in one thread or another. When I told him, he didn't believe me. He was truly surprised because he thought that Boston Guy was about 80 years old. I am not 80 years old. :)

Despite his shock -- he was so surprised that he couldn't cover it up -- we had a very nice time together.

I had a situation with another poster, though. There was another gentleman who used to post here frequently. We often agreed on various subjects and periodically exchanged private messages. Then, one time, we spoke on the phone and he told me "this is not what Boston Guy sounds like. Boston Guy is much older." He was serious and we ended the conversation soon after. Unfortunately, we also stopped communicating in other ways. I sensed that he was disappointed that his image of Boston Guy had somehow been crushed.

As for wg, I don't tell, and actually only one escort has figured it out... when shortly into our first session he suddenly said, "I know who you are!" Well he is a smart guy and at times posts here...

For the record I use a different moniker for my reviews so that helps keep a bit of annomity...

And BG... They thought you were only 80!?!? Could have fooled me! However, I don't think you posted in the Tallulah Bankhead thread so perhaps you are indeed much younger!

I know a guy that does very well with his 2 message boards. they aren't adult web sites but for tanning. each site gets 15.000 to 55.000 unique hits a month. he doesn't do Affiliate Ads but charges for banner space. he charges HEADER LEADERBOARD BANNER 728X90 exclusive 30.000 year, non exclusive 15.000 a year, 1400.00 a month, bottom banner 7500.00 year or 699.00 a month, those SIDE 120X240 banners 699.00 month or 5900.00 year. then there's lower rates for button type stuff. he does very well..

Your secret is safe.

I had a similar experience. When a really contentious thread was in full churn, I needed to call an escort to confirm/deny a purported detail to make a call in thread management.

We'd seen each other as client/escort many times. He was completely bumfoozled by why *I* would be calling him, until I told him my MC identity. "That's YOU?!?!?!?!?!" I thought he knew (because Hooboy never could keep his mouth shut) and yet he was totally floored.

We still laugh about it.

It has been MY Experience going back to the HOOBOY Days that the only "Working Guys" who follow the MC are those who mainly List their Travels for the Site readers.

At Best a Small Percentage of Clients come from DADDYS at this point in Time thru the Review Section.
