I asked lucky what his Zodiac Sign was in another thread, then it occurred to me that it would be interesting to know the zodiac sign of each poster. I will feel really dumb if they are listed here somewhere, I haven't seen them if they are. So for those of you who wish to play along, please share your zodiac sign and your thoughts on astrology has any affect on an individuals personality/character?

Color me entirely sceptical.

 

My mom was totally into new age religions etc. I think the strongest argument that

could be made would be something along the lines of if a soul wanted to incarnate

to work through a set of karmic problems, it might choose the moment of birth as well

as genetic heritage as part of the "course syllabus", but free will should predominate.

 

(Is that a republican "indvidual reponsibility" coming out of my bleeding heart liberal mouth?)

 

Of course, according to that paradigm, I was born into a western culture primarily

not believing in astrology, etc.... and one would assume that I should make the best

of my life ignoring it!

Well I have a certain fondness for astrology and the occult arts but doubt there is any validity to it, except it is wildly held that Leo is the most superior sign of the Zodiac and I would agree with that whole lion heartedly

I am a Leo but am not sure if this means anything personality wise. I am very confident based on years in agriculture that it means absolutely everything when planting crops or dehorning cattle or cutting bull calves. My grandfather described the signs and the moon phases and I have spent a lifetime proving him to be correct.

For those who are interested, I was born on the first day of Leo. While I have mostly Leo characteristics, I do have some strong Cancer qualities as well given that I was born under a changing moon! I think astrology does identify and categorize certain personality characteristics, but I do not buy into the theory that certain signs are better paired with others. That is where free will and determination come in.

Well, on our MC profiles we have the option to enter our DOB. So, for those who have entered their DOB on their profile, such as yourself, their sign of the Zodiac could be calculated.

I really don’t place much, if any credence, in either Western or Eastern astrology. I must also admit, however, that I love both if for no other reason that I love my birth signs. On my thirty-fifth birthday I decided that I wanted to do something no “normal”, “rational” school teacher would ever do so I went out and got my Western birth sign tattooed on the back of my right shoulder. Believe it or not thirty four years latter I’m still glad I did it. My Western birth sign is SCORPIO and I was born in the year of the DRAGON.

According to Western astrology each person born under a given sign is ruled by a certain body organ. The fact that SCORPIO is supposedly ruled by his sex organs certainly adds to my enjoyment of astrology and acts as a great rational for my interest in hiring and playing with escorts on a regular basis.

Born: 1 August 1983 at 4:33 AM (-0500) Orlando, FL. That makes me a Leo. I'd post my natal chart, but for those who would be truly interested in it, I'm sure they can get a ton of information from the birthday on their own. If anyone is interested, I can also provide Type II test results for MBTI.

 

Seriously, over the last few years I've come to recognize specific systems of astrology that go by approximated weeks. I ask everyone their birthday upon initial meeting...personally, that is. I ask clients whom move past hourly or I feel a connection with. Having used the system for a few years, I often immediately know how the person will most likely interact in my life and I use that to determine how I'm going to react to them. People who refuse to give me their birthday do not exist in my life (this has happened very few times).

 

With that in mind, NYTomcat and I are interacting exactly as I would predict. Never having even chatted with TBinCHI, I'd say from his birthday that he'd enjoy his time with me. If not properly guarded, we may end up making too sharp of comments to one another that can become hurtful...but otherwise, we're a good match.
