Our resident positivist greatness seems to have taken a break here after being scolded for a thread he started. We all make mistakes, but people forget and forgive, so don't feel that you have to stay away. Who else is going to continually feed our egos on how hot or sweet we are?

True - and who else is going to make this message board look like a Mary Poppins diary?

Not wishing to overly cavill ...

I appreciate Lucky's postings and hope I don't get on his bad side by making the observation that if Greatness was taking a break from reading the forum, he wouldn't see Lucky's encouragment to return.

We could extend our well wishes by the "Send user a private message" [or email] feature ...

Hmmm... or you could say, "Greatness, I'm sorry I allowed my distaste for Draker's posts to spill over onto you. On reflection I can see you were an innocent bystander trying to be helpful and my slam was unwarranted. I apologize and will do my best not to let it happen again. Please forgive me."

But then something along those lines would require one to admit error.

When I find myself regretting something I've done, I usually just blurt out an apology and confess to being in the wrong. ;) Granted that approach can be awkward, and sometimes embarrassing, but it often works wonders in clearing the air.

Greatness is currently not receiving private messages so I'll just say here that I welcome his participation.

I have nothing to apologize for. greatness made an end run on Daddy's timeout for Draker, and that was a bad thing to do. It showed a lack of respect for the rules here. What's the value of Daddy putting a timeout on someone if they can just have someone else post their thoughts?

greatness may not be signing in, but I have no doubt that he is lurking.

As for getting on my bad side, it is hard to do, and even when done, I get over it quickly. How else to survive ten years here? I do not understand why some folks get so incensed when they are on the wrong end of an opinion. If we all agreed, this would be a boring place.

Me too.

I enjoyed reading posts from Greatness so much. Such a nice guy. As a "newbie" on the MC this past year he was very welcoming to me. Sure hope he comes back soon, too. The MC needs him.

Greatness, hope you're having fun!

Tempting as your offer sounds, perhaps he got a better one. http://www.mysmiley.net/imgs/smile/love/love0077.gif

Who is this dude Daddy whom you keep writing about? I seem to remember someone by that name who had a bunch of rules, but my short term memory is not what it used to be

you are so sweet..

I admit I act like a clueless child sometimes, so I apologize for that. I'm not angry or anything. I don't think Lucky should apologize. He didn't do anything wrong. Actually, I love Lucky. He is a very caring guy.

I took a self imposed time out because I thought I need it. "The Wonderful World of Oz" is a bit chilly right now so I am sipping my organic green tea in my bed. The other day I got a free sample of Strawberry Chocolate Red Rooibos tea from The Republic of Tea. It's so good. I am planning to buy some next time. Anybody want some? :) Thank you for kind words.

That particular guy gives me an offer, Lookin, and I'll go missing a few days too.

Don't you read the newspaper, Rick? We swapped Banana Republic and Republic of Tea months ago!

According to the AP, the Teavian Minister of Enlightenment, Ginger Peach, provided intelligence proving that Gavin Chinos isn't a type of oddly-fitting pants after all. He's a real person. Apparently, Gavin is an operative of a terrorist organization having ties to BR, a leftist Central American government living in exile in San Francisco. They constructed sleeper cells in lifestyle centers and downtown areas across the country and recruited members through web sites and glossy, upscale magazines. BR constricted our liberties by designing outrageously-priced, ever-shrinking clothes that would literally squeeze us into submission. Upon learning that scalding hot Safari Sunset Red Tea poured on a victim's khaki-covered thighs would not only force the wearer to immediately remove the offending garments but also stain them beyond repair, our government ordered all trade with ROT to resume as soon as possible and fast-tracked customs clearance for thousands of pounds of the bright red beverage ingredient. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was quoted as saying "Thanks to the efforts of Minister Peach, untold numbers of Americans will be freed from the binds of the evil Chinos regime." :p

Damn, that was a close one. I gotta remember to stop leaving these posts out where greatness can find them. It's a good thing you forgot to take that bouquet with you last night, Johnny.
