My daughter, 18, is attending acting school in NYC, where's she's become friends with a 25-year-old actor who grew up in the small college/farm town where I live. She's home for the holidays, and he is town visiting his grandparents (his parents have moved). They met through mutual friends in NY and have seen each other ("as friends") there a few times. He invited her out for a walk last night, and then they came over to my place. He stayed quite late, long after I went to bed.

OMG--if he was an escort I would hire him in a second. Handsome blond, nice build, sexy deep voice. Looks like the kind of guy who would get cast on a soap opera, which he just was (minor role and I won't say which, of course).

She's had friends/boyfriends in the past who I thought were cute, but they were teenagers who were boys, not men, and my reactions would mostly be along the in-5-or-10-years-he'll-be-really-hot line. This is the first time she brought someone home where I was strongly attracted and the fantasies just flowed. Feels a little weird, but I suppose it had to happen some day.

Anyone else had the experience of going weak in the knees at a daughter's boyfriend?

BTW, I've been super busy and missed you all.

Guest greatness

well

His daughter is hot enough to date a hot guy so I bet Zapped is hot if it is indeed a hereditary thing!

Since my daughter is a dog, I doubt that I will find myself in the same predicament. But, it's not surprising that your daughter would share your taste in men. It's probably a hereditary thing!

Family Tastes in men ...

I don't have a daughter, but I did go somewhat weak in the knees the first time I was introduced to my now-brother-in-law.

Before they were married, one year when I was flying back from visiting home,

as we were standing at the airport, it occured to me that if there were any truth

at all to the freudian ideas about daughters being fixated on fathers and possibly

likewise gay men, that we might both find the same archetypes of men appealing.

So I noticed somebody outrageously good looking passing by and asked my sister

whether she found the guy attractive. She did ....
