My workout minidisc has: Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, Janet Jackson, the Go-Go's, Sheryl Crow and P!nk.

Fuck, I bet I shouldn't have responded to this. In another thread, someone wrote that we give away too much info on here & that it's made hiring escorts seem less mysterious, less dangerous. I wonder if that applies to knowing what music we like. OK, never mind...my disc is blank, as am I. :p

I've been hooked on the multichannel SACD mix of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" lately.

I also never seem to get enough of Julie London. I made a 30 track custom cd-r "best of" and play the thing at least every couple of weeks. (That might not seem very often to some, but I've got so many cd's that if I play something every other week over a long period of time it really is remarkable.)

I find it interesting that none of the posters (so far) have mentioned anything classical.

I listen to mostly classical at home, but the "walking around" music in my MP3 player is usually a little lighter and usually a pretty eclectic mix -- everything from showtunes to Duke Ellington, Mel Torme to Maureen McGovern.

This has to be the saddest list of music I have ever read. The only thing left to decide is who has the least amount of taste the clients or the escorts.

LOL There's something to be said for someone who comes to a prostitution-themed website to critique the music lists.

Hopefully we can provide "happier" lists for you in the future. :+

I prescribe for you a small dose of the Jefferson Airplane -- one pill... (and only one) :-)

I don't remember the 'MAKE' part... I recall a 'recommendation' for three or four -- one of which was already on my list (PS Boys) but I'll give you the 'make me' credit although it seemed I made you take my PS Boys copy for your inferior cut :-) .

And for VNV Nation I had to reach for that myself -- you were hording that one.

Can't wait to see what you 'make 'me' do next.

(Matt: my personal music advisor for 'the other side' -- a fringe benefit and he sings along too -- not a fringe benefit. :+ )

On my MP3 player now is the Ibiza Chilled Out double set. An ambsolutely amazing compilation mixed by Agnelli and Nelson. I've had this set for about a year, but it seems to always be in either my computer, CD player, or on MP3. I took it to the the Country Club (gay pool, bar, cabbanana) Sunday and had a great time giving myself wrinkles and coyly flirting with the other patrons.

In my CD player is Ambient Lounge 2, a German import I bought on a whim. It's alllright, but wasn't quite what I was looking for. A bit jazzier (fun word) than I was expecting. More sunset a la playa, than sunrise after long night socializing.

Recent downloads. (RIP Audiogalaxy)

Res - They Say Vision (Robbie Rivera Mix)

French Affair - I Like That (Ext. Club mix) <-- dirty dirty french

girl

Robbie Tronco - Jesus Christ My Pussy Is Burning

Something Tragic

Runway As a House

Paul Oakenfold - Goa Mix Silver

I tend to download only club/dance music, obscure Euro tracks, and random spoken word. My taste is muuuuch broader. Usually with just a bit of an aversion to mass media spoon fed bits. N'Britney Aguiellra-Street and such.

So I eat my words... some of them anyway. :+

Matt,

Thanks for the heads up on Jon Spencers Blues Explosion. I went out and bought Plastic Fang today and frigging LOVED IT! Perfect for:

A: Dancing around in your living room in your underwear

B: Having wild nasty sex during a thunderstorm at night (especially "Down in the Beast"), when the humidity is so high that you are drenched in sweat and lube (youll need to turn off the AC for this effect, and a tin roof doesnt hurt).

Thanks, Ill be heading back for the previous CDs soon.

:)

Big Jake... my future boyfriend

Glad you like the jon spencer, check out Pussy Galore(his old band)

I was pretty impressed by your list(very eclectic) but the super camp teenybop stuff(nsync, britney et all) hmmmm?? what up wit dat?

Now Thrill Kill Kult... one of my all time faves, you might also like pretty much anything WaxTrax from chicago released(I think it's via TVT records now) they were one of the best record labels in the early 90's, stuff like MeatBeat Manifesto, KMFDM, Ministry, Noise Unit, Psychosonic... a lot of the early industrial stuff.

And I just wanted to ad...JAKE you is fucking HOT!! woof.

RE: Big Jake... my future boyfriend

Matt,

I actually grew up listeneing to the Wax Trax stuff in the mid to late 80's. Many a night was spent sneaking into Fire and Ice and later The Kitchen Club in Miami at the ripe age of 15 to hear the latest Ministry or Thrill Kill mix.

As far as the Pink, Britney N'Sync stuff, well its got a good beat and you can dance to it. I like anything with a catchy riff, and those teenybops produce the best mind numbing addictive trash you can find. Thats my gym CD, at home youd find Dave Matthews, Buddha Bar, Alanis, Courtney (I put them both on the same CD just to know that Miss Love would hate me for it).
