When I started viewing M4M, oh it had to be at least 5 years ago I was so impressed with the type of information and the type of threads. You asked a question about going somewhere, let's say Fort Lauderdale or Key West, you didn't get criticism you got advice. You wanted to talk bluntly about sex, you asked it. You had questions about escorts you weren't afraid to ask and be yelled at for one reason or another. Now, I see a thread about being nice to dogs and cats (I love dogs and cats but not what I go to M4M for); I see people attacking other people, I don't want to know who has the best basketball team or football team, I do want to know who has the best butts!! Sorry that's why I view this forum. Call me what you want but I thought this was a place where sexually active, or those who want to be sexually active males could retrieve information from others out there. Just doesn't seem the same but alas let's face it neither is the Key's, PTown, and other historically gay frisky places. Sorry I had to vent. If you want to make fun, go ahead I guess. Rocky

Having long since stopped reading the dogs and cats thread, I took a look at the last few pages and only saw some humorous stuff about purplekows. So I can't say that I know what you are talking about.

The message center has a ten year history, and if you read history books, you know that peace is not always the norm. We've had several times of unrest, but this doesn't seem to be one of them. People are getting along, information is being exchanged, and some good humor exists.

So, if it's a rocky road that you see, I wish you could be more specific.

One thing I notice in the Deli--is that now there seem to be a preponderance of questions about escorts rather than answers. It used to be allowed to give--guess I should call it a mini review of escorts--but now I hear that is frowned upon.

I have to agree with you. Although I only been here less than a year though, I did notice 'back in the day' there were more relevant posts here than now. Also seen more input from other escorts. Nothing wrong though with a tangent now and then with some humor, just as long as it doesnt start becoming mundane.

 

P.S. I believe I have the best butt (pardon my big head. No the other one) :o

Rocky we are all different on the board. Some mainly post here in the lounge, some in the south of the border thread and some in the politics forum. If you don't want to read about kittens or what the idiots in DC are doing then don't go to those forums and stick to the Deli. If the Deli isn't spicy enough for you then think of topics that are of interest that you might want to talk about. Don't rely on just a few here to keep the board going because it is a group effort type of thing here.

I am sure that gman's comment is correct. I was mainly addressing the parts of the MB that are not JUST info about escorts but of more general interest. Certainly more reviews is better than fewer reviews. But, I have no objection to recipes, folk remedies, songs, links to animal sites, etc. We can all read what is of interest and skip the rest.

Hooboy was the founder of this site, back in the 20th century, when I joined. He died suddenly in March 2005, and Daddy, who had been the resident technical master, took over shortly thereafter. (This is the simplified version; the backstory runs to several pages and comes in conflicting narratives. The official history probably won't appear until we're all dead.)
