Nice Gideon's Belt-- not found on most males!

Peace,

Kipp

Who cares if he is wearing a woman's belt, it has a nice buckle and look at those ab muscles darting right on down into to jeans. I wish I was darting right behind them.

Silly Goose-- you just described the GB-- not a real belt but that physical attribute found on the rarest of males which looks like a shield type muscle at the center of the extreme lower abs...

I've never come across the term Gideon's Belt before & a Google search has turned up nothing. Where did you come by it?

Quite a coinky dinky. Yes the muscles diving into those shorts are at times referred to as Gideon Belt muscles or the Gideon Shield which is a reference to the bible character Gideon who defeated a much larger force with an army of 300 and the assistance of the lord. The army of 300 appears later and speaking of Gideon Shields, all the guys in the movie 300 had them, either real or digitally enhanced. Hot guys.

I came up with only one google reference to Gideon Belt, which by coincidence was to the blog of none other than BN-15 minutes. Gideon shield on the other hand, was also referenced once, but this time it was in a biblical coloring book.

I ran across the term many decades back in an academic article about Greek statues. The author was making a point about the "realism" of later Greek statuary being as stylized in its own way as the stiffer early forms. He used the pronounced Gideon's belt found on almost all statues of adult males as an example. I guess that stuck with me because those over-developed lower abdomens had always struck me as odd looking & artificial.

Looking for the images above, I ran across this post on why Greek statues have such small packages.

Maybe that's what I was misremembering. :D Ain't old age wonderful!

One bodybuilder site calls them the "fuck me muscles." AKA "cum gutter" to others, but that term is reserved by some for the line down the center of a six pack.

When his pic popped up and I saw those long, tapered hands-- your thoughts were mine, too! This hunky cutie should definitely have had a pair of men's hands enveloping his beautiful body! -:)

Apollo's Belt

Apollo's Belt: "shallow grooves of the surface anatomy of the human abdomen running from the iliac crest (hip bone) to the pubis."

So, this sort of thing then?
