Good advice, avoid credit card fees and pay in cash.

 

I think to charge a $20 "credit card fee" is outrageous! Obviously they prefer you to pay in cash. That way there is no accounting for how much money they take in and I'll bet very little of it is declared for tax purposes.

Most credit cards forbid the charging of such use fees. To pay that on top of a tip for the guy who takes you to the room which you are already paying for is ridiculous. Bellboys don't get ten dollar tips that often.

 

But just how much do you tip the toilet boy for a poop? What if you just pee? Does he operate the flush for you, and, if so, does that incur an extra tip? What if there is no hot water for hand washing? Does that lessen the tip?

What if I can't get a cab on the way home? Do I stay the night there, and how much does that cost? Do I have to be out by a certain time or can I sleep in?

Lucky, I am not disagreeing at all with what you are saying. But realise who owns/operates clubs like these in NYC ... Cash is King for them.

 

By way of comparison, I sometimes need to take some of my clients to upscale straight strip clubs. At the Penthouse, or at Larry Flint's Hustler Club the private rooms are $400 for 30 minutes. The girls expect a tip on top of that - cash only. Not to be crass, but the girls don't even take their panties off in the private rooms. In the public areas, there is no touching allowed during lap dances - a black-suited gorilla will throw you out instantly. You can have your $11 Heineken to watch the girls dance on stage, and slip a $20in their garter belt just for the privilege of watching her fake boobs six feet away. Be my guest.

 

All I'm saying is: Club 20 is not such a bad deal - cash or credit.

That would indeed make it a tax deductible business expense, which makes a big difference! But I hear you, the pricing at upscale straight strip clubs is outrageous. Also, I think that the top women escorts make a lot more money than the top guys - their hourly rates are much higher.
