From gaysocialites.com:

"The same show that I've been pitching for a year is about to become a reality it seems, but not for me... unless I apply, of course.

Evidently the people behind casting "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" are looking for New York City's best gays to become the gay housewives of New York.

The posting says:

"I'm looking for the hottest young, fabulous gay men NYC has to offer for an upcoming docu-series. These boys need to be living the good life, keeping up with all the hottest shopping, restaurants, and clubs, and preferably have lots of drama keeping them busy at all hours of the day…and night. I'd love for them to be in a relationship, and we're looking for diversity in those relationships – especially younger/older dynamics.

Do any of your friends fit this bill? We all know SOMEONE who needs to have their own TV show, right?"

I can't freakin' wait! Even if they don't cast me, I can't wait to see how foolish some of these gays look on national TV!"

Great another stupid ass reality series showing exactly what most of are not and feeding some of the most dumbest sterio tpyes of gays and not to mention feed the minds of the young gays something that is not obtainable by most. This is exactly why my tv has not been on since Jan and before that many many months.

Hugs,

Greg

Bad idea

If the show does get produced and aired it will do nothing to help our acceptance by middle America. It would do about as much good as a weekly gay pride parade prancing across your 60 incher.

Or how about images of the Folsom Street Fair prancing across your TV screen?

"Queer Eye" was more than enuff "alleged" FABULOUS Gay Reality for me!

The Fabulously Gay & very "Pretentious" Characters of NYC are not showing up on my Cable TV.... This along with all the Lesbian Programming should go over well on LOGO ONLY! ;)

How about a show, the real Gay Men of the United States and follow some doctors, lawyers, policemen, accountants, taxi drivers etc. The Real Gay men who are out there living their less than "fabulous" lives in places like Helena Montana. I believe there was a show on Logo where "Ant" travelled around the US meeting gay men and women but that seemed to come and go in a second. There are compelling stories out there, but the men aren't all 21 and beautiful with perfectly manicured nails and god knows showing someone less than beautiful on TV is breaking the first commandment of television broadcasting. "Gay Housewives" even the title is offensive.

Beautiful boy-toys gadding about Manhatten armed with their doting sugardaddies' platinum. Must see programming.
