There's a notice on rentboy's front page that the site is due to be down August 6 (Thursday) from noon to 6pm eastern time for a system upgrade. Just a heads up.

I hope once that happens I'll actually be able to get on there. For the past couple of months I have barely been able to, many times it wont load. Several times I've double checked my system and all was well. I think its the reason I havent gotten many bookings from rentboy, even in different cities. No one can access it.

The notice says Rentboy will be offline from 12pm - 6pm Eastern Standard Time. Now, we are actually on Eastern Daylight Time. So should we convert the notice to 1pm - 7pm Eastern Daylight Time?

Yeah, about two months ago I began having problems and it always takes me two tries to check someone out - frustrating. I hope tomorrow morning my problems are over - well at least this one.

What are we supposed to do while it is down? How can I hire an escort without the information provided there? Can't they do this in the middle of the night? Have they considered the lost income to escorts? The economy could plunge!

You mean Rentboy's supposed to be there for clients and escorts??? I always thought it was a vehicle to raise funds for circuit parties and other such events, myself...

There were apparently a few issues (I was able to see the pics, for example) and the site now says it'll be down til 8pm. I suspect we'll all have to be a little patient.

Well. THAT update went well. I can get on, but none of the photos are displaying.

 

I had that problem four hours ago. Then it went back offline, but it's working fine for me now (1 am NY time).

Well I've used the connection in different cities with broadband, and the connection the hotels use and I'd have to reload several times to get past the disclaimer screen. And it was only that site, non the others. I ended up changing my server host numbers, which did make it somewhat better though. Rentboy is actually my favorite site, so Im not putting it down. Its just the past couple months the site been so slow loading up, even freezing my browser so I evenutally stopped going on except to place my ad. someone mentioned that before didnt they?
