Wow, I got the deal of my life on a Private Message here.

 

A "Mr Engineer Henry" wants to take me with him to Nigeria for 8 days, he wants to pay me 3,000 $ a day (= $ 24,000) for some massage during the day.

He is also willing to pay the full amount before leaving if I say yes....

I got a similar msg but mines was from Henry1960. I sent a msg to the mods. I would expect this from the other place (I have gotten similar msgs from MER) but wasn't expecting to get these scam spam here But I am sure Daddy and team are on it like white on rice.

Not to bring a cold shower of water into this discussion but I could not resist. GMT means Greenwich Mean Time and is a universally accepted measure of what the time is now. It should be expressed in 4 digits, so 235 should be 0235 which would mean various things. At this time of year (with DST) in SEA, 0235 would be 735 PM PDT.

 

GMT is used so that everyone using it knows exactly what time to which any one might be referring. It is critical in weather forecasting and the ordinary course of aviation. Everyone can change the GMT to their local time for whatever reason to include being on time for a dinner date, etc. They just have to know the differential.

I replied "yes" and my check is not yet in my mail box. That's bizarre.

Anyway I have already bought few expensive items with my credit card, as I am sure I will get my $24,000 payment anytime now.

 

I am already trying to getting accustomed to GMT+1, every night I go to sleep at 6-7 pm max, and I am doing a full immersion Rosetta Stone in Yoruba, Ibo and Hausa, the 3 main spoken languages after English and French.

I can't understand why you have not received a check yet. But, I am sure you will. In the mean time I have to applaud your attempt to turn the economic tide by yourself with your own stimulus plan.

 

I also think it a very good idea to repair your self to bed at such a reasonable hour in order to prepare your self for your journey and fun time in Nigeria. A spinoff benefit is that you will be avoiding any trouble by not being in bars picking up good looking young men who would only tempt and tantalize you throughout the night with nefarious thoughts and, perhaps, activities. Good on you.
