Boardwalk Update

A quick update on Boardwalk in Fort Lauderdale. I was there last week for an extended weekend and I visited both Boardwalk and Johnnnys. Johnnys is great but it was really a little too loud and crowded for my taste. I headed to Boardwalk with the expectation to return to Johnny's a little later. Didn't happen as I met about 4 dancers at Boardwalk that kept my attention.

 

Boardwalk has an outdoor restaurant called Beefcakes that has decent sandwiches and daily specials. If you eat there you get free admission to the Bar and that was a nice plus. After eating a steak sandwich and fries I was ready to see the dancers. My expectations were not high since most of their dancers recently have not really interested me. I think overall Johnnys has better quality dancers but there were about 10 or so at Boardwalk that turned my head over the weekend. I think they had about 25 to 30 dancing the weekend.

 

Usually I love the latino guys but I was immediately taken with Sergei, a blonde Bel-Ami type from the Ukraine. I have met him before and he is always fun to talk to and has a great body and ass. He gives a nice lap dance and is very popular. He is very masculine with a wicked sense of humor. Did I mention his ass? LOL.

 

Next I met Roni, from Prague. He is a minor league hockey player who I guess would be classified as a twink by some but more a college A&F guy to me. His lap dances are very nice and he loves to show off his ass when he dances. He introduced me to his roommate, Josef also from the Czech Republic. Josef is younger than Roni, but definitely not a twink. (Roni is 22/23 ish I think) Josef says he is shy (not sure if true) and he has a hard time just going up to customers to say hi. He was very friendly, has a nice body, was generous with his time and genuinely appreciated any tips.

 

I did find my Latin flavor who gave the best lap dances of all. He is from Brazil and unfortunately I couldn't understand his name. He is short and you can tell he works out. He loves to kiss and is overall very affectionate.

 

Your actual mileage may vary. Some of the Boardwalk dancers can be aggressive for tips and/or lap dances but I am usually firm and say no thanks and they move on. I try not to say 'maybe later' if I don't mean it.

 

Felipe the bartender is one of the hottest guys in the place. Too bad he doesn't dance.

 

I hope to head to Montreal next so I will report back with any news.

Bozo just returned from an extended stay in South Florida. Although Bozo's main purpose for the trip was business; meeting with fellow clowns seeking to create (erect?) the nation's first retirement community for gay circus peformers, Bozo couldn't pass up the chance to check out both Boardwalk and Johnny's.

 

Bozo's last few visits to Johnny's have not been memorable, in fact, they have been very disappointing. Sorry to report this trip was no exception. Bozo went on a Saturday night, promoted as "Muscle Night". For the sake of accuracy, it should have been billed as "NO Muscle Night". Unfortunately, the dancers at Johnny's were the usual assortment of fems, queens, and other girlie types. The only muscle around was on the hot shirtless bartender working the main bar. I didn't get his name but he was definitely hunk material. The other positive was seeing former Boardwalk bartender Derek working the small bar by the bathrooms. He told Bozo that Boardwalk management had cut down his hours, so he left and moved to Johnny's. Derek is charming as he is handsome. He is also a "family member". It is a shame he doesn't dance.

Johnny's has undergone some renovations that include extending the center wall and adding a few lap dance booths. Sorry to report the volume of the music has not decreased, nor has the amount of cigarette smoke which permeated the club.

 

Unless you have a strong preference for twinks, Boardwalk is still the better of the 2 male strip clubs in Wilton Manors. Unfortunately, this past weekend was somewhat disappointing. On the up side, as the previous post indicated, sexy, blonde, Bel-Ami looking boy Sergei was there looking more scrumptious than ever. In addition, a new dancer, tall, sexy Diego was quite impressive. However, Bozo's real find this trip was sexy Taylor - a tall, nicely built, southern boy with brown hair, hazel eyes and a voice like Gomer Pyle. His lap dances were absolutely incredible. He is a definite keeper... and a "family member" too. Ronny from the Czech Republic, mentioned by the previuos poster, was dancing this past week too. He definitely has the A & F look, although he is a bit too lean for Bozo's tastes. Also, happy to report that shirtless bartenders Carlos and Danny were looking as hot as Florida in July. On the down side, of the 30+ other dancers, none were standouts. Lots of smallish Latinos with various body types were strutting their stuff, but none struck Bozo's fancy.

As the previous poster stated, dining at Beefcake's, Boardwalk's outdoor restaurant/bar, will give you free admission into Boardwalk. The food is surprisingly tasty, and it has the best Turkey burger Bozo has ever eaten.

This bodybuilder caused quite a stir whenever he walked thru the lobby or showed up at the swimming pool. Unfortunately, Bozo and Brendan's (yes, Brendan is "family member" too) schedule was such that we weren't able to hook up, but the boy is absolutely adorable......

Are you telling us that the visible-to-everyone-else-in-the-back-room massage chairs that Boardwalk tries to pass off as a lap dance area have been replaced with real private lap dance booths like the ones at Johnny's or in Montreal? That would be a welcome change! Otherwise I can't imagine how anyone could provide an "incredible" lap dance in that place.

Glad to read the recent reports on the going-ons at Boardwalk and sounds like there's someone for all tastes.

 

Speaking of tasty, can anyone confirm if Ernesto is still dancing at Boardwalk...he's a beefy, muscular built guy from Uruguay - not from Ipanema...though he might as well be...tall and tan and oh sooooo lovely.

Wow... my first trip ever tonight!

 

Happy to say Sergei is still there... I normally go for the thin twinky type but MY GOD he is amazing... I didn't do a dance with him because I don't like how there's no privacy at Boardwalk, but I definitely enjoyed playing with that chest tonight! WOW! I made sure to tip him as if we'd done several dances.

 

The rest of the crew, eh... not so much my type. I'm familiar with Montreal. The dancers I would compare to the late rotation of dancers at Campus. Some real cute buff guys if you go for that type.

Spent a few nights (some shorter visits) while visiting. Sergei is definitely the reason to go. Stunning guy. As stated in my previous post, I normally go for the thin, 18-22 type when it comes to this whole thing -- but he really is out of this world hot! Incredible smile, fun guy too.

 

I think the most fun night there was their amateur night Wednesday. The rest of my visits were short - I usually just ended up at Johnny's. I guess it all depends on taste. If you like the buffed up guys, B'walk is for you. My only complaints about the place... the guys are a bit pushy. I think most of us can send a pretty obvious sign if we're interested. If we're not looking at you, not tipping you... chances are, we're not into you.

 

That said, the guys were friendly. The bartender (I am bad with names) that everyone raves about... deserves the accolades. He's a total sweetheart... and incredible smile too. (Hispanic guy, little buffed up.)

 

Cover was reasonable. Really enjoyed the chicken sandwich at the restaurant... lol. Didn't anticipate one of my favorite meals of the trip to be a strip club meal!!!

 

Most nights there were about a dozen dancers at a given time roaming around. Only a few of the younger, twink type that I like. One that I did kind of dig was a Ukranian (ironically enough, huh? Sergei is Ukranian.)

Went back for a couple visits last week. Had a good time, but no sign of Sergei during the 2 visits I made to B'walk. Maybe I just had bad timing.

 

Did have loads of fun with a new guy though... I believe his name is Fernando. Brazilian I believe... not normally my type... I generally like the blond/blue types... but this guy won me over. GREAT flirt and definitely knows the buttons to press haha. And jeez... he knows how to use his tight bod to get me to go back for a private - which I NEVER do at B'walk since there's no privacy.

 

The other guy who got my attention is a 6'8 dude... wow! Not an amazing bod, but the height thing is awesome! I'm a tall guy myself, so someone taller than me is a rare experience. Awesome personality too. Tipped him quite a bit, but did not dance with him. Great guy though.

 

And... great food. haha... had the burger & fries. I'm always surprised how good the food is there!

A former dancer there sent me a text and said that the new guy (he thought his name was felipe, but he wasn't sure) was A++. Hopefully he will still be dancing when I return to Lauderdale! Boardwalk Bar on Sunday, Jan. 24.

 

Brief update: Boardwalk Bar on Sunday, Jan. 24. I arrived fairly early, about 7:00pm, and had dinner at the outdoor patio/restaurant. The food was surprisingly good and it had the added bonus of being served by a very attractive and flirty waiter, Derrick. I went inside about 8:00pm and things were pretty quiet. I spent some time chatting with Diego, a Latino who is playing snowbird this season. Montreal regulars will know him from Club Stock where he was dancing last summer. Before Stock he worked at Taboo. We had a pleasant conversation at the bar and a nice dance in the back. Unfortunately, the ambiance of the backroom lounge leaves a lot to be desired. It’s one big room that offers little privacy, still has the ridiculous message chairs, which are very awkward and uncomfortable, and is quite dark and rather dismal and shabby looking. The lounges at Johnny’s are far more comfortable and inviting (offering nice sofas and far more privacy). I had a much better time at Johnny’s where the atmosphere was friendly and full of high energy, and surprisingly they had a broad spectrum of boys to suit any taste – from twink to muscle. Both places are worth visiting though, and it’s definitely worth your time to have a meal outdoors at the Boardwalk if the weather is nice. Your meal ticket will also waive the cover charge that goes into effect after 9:00pm. If you do drop in be sure to say hi to Diego.
