I visited the NYBC this past Sunday (July 19). I arrived at 8 PM and there was a hot suspension scene in progress on the main stage. However, shortly thereafter the “victim” felt light-headed and the scene had to be suspended… or perhaps a better choice of words would be curtailed. Now, I am not sure if this happens often, but the last time I attended (about a year ago) a similar incident occurred. Phen (one of the club’s coordinators and the person who was in charge of the scene) being a consummate professional in such matters turned the episode into a mini learning experience by demonstrating the safest way to untie the victim so as to prevent any injury. He also did so in a manner that brought a bit of humor into the equation which did tend to allay any fears of those who were watching. At any rate, while Phen was certainly convinced that there was no immediate problem, whether the subject was similarly amused by his tongue in cheek remarks I am not so sure! Still, in the final analysis all turned out well.

 

Things slowed down considerably after this and I was just about to call it quits when a hot scene developed on the upper level where a guy was placed in a bondage situation while he was worked over with dildos and his cock was played with by the individual who began the action. Meanwhile a second person was twisting the victim’s nipples while some other action was ensuing. The person who initiated the scene came with quite a bag of tricks that included some impressive gear to bind the victim.

 

As this was winding down attention was again diverted to the main stage where a hot muscular guy was placed in a bondage situation by both Phen and Bryan (the other club coordinator) using virtually all of a 100’ section of nylon line! Normally they use shorter segments of rope, but for some reason they had this long piece and were determined to make total use of it. Both these scenes made the evening quite worthwhile. Furthermore, Phen also did a bit of philosophizing regarding one’s fantasies, how they ultimately related to reality, and how one might make a portion of one’s dreams become actuality.

 

I also spoke with an attractive young couple who were beginning to experiment with BDSM in their personal lives. They had come to observe and learn the ropes so to speak and even though some were trying to convince them to get involved in a scene (they were both really hot!), they were not ready to do anything of the sort in a public setting. Of course I have always felt the same way… and that is what is good about the club, one can participate to the degree that one feels comfortable. At any given moment one can see guys walking around in various modes of dress from completely naked to fully clothed, with every conceivable combination in between. One can go simply to observe, enjoy, and learn… or one can get involved in a scene and do so at various levels. I did get involved with a bit of nipple play the final scene that I described, but that was about it.

 

So all in all a worthwhile experience given that we are in the summer doldrums.

Police Report

 

I revisited the NYBC on July 26, but arrived quite late because of a disruption in subway service due to bad weather. The action was a bit slower than the previous week, but still interesting.

NY Bondage Club sent out an email today describing a somewhat new scene they are planning. Instead of opening at 6, they will be opening at 7 on Sundays during August. They also said that after a certain hour, clothes check will go from optional to mandatory - only undergear and fetish gear will be allowed after the witching hour - and they plan various more intense "surprises" --- Too bad I have another obligation this Sunday and will be away from NYC next weekend - I've got to wait until the middle of August to find out what this is all about, unless somebody goes this Sunday and posts a report here.

Regarding the new “after party hours”, I was given a special pass to get in at the member rate during August as a promotion for the new hours. However, I was not aware of the mandatory (un)dress code… Though, upon reading the “fine print” on the NYBC website it seems that from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM the lack of dress code will only be enforced in two areas, the upper loft area and the maze-like back halls of the lower area. It also says that the lights will be dimmed in those areas. Now I can’t imagine the lights being much lower in that particular area of the lower level as it often difficult to see what is happening even under “normal” circumstances. Apparently full clothing will still be permitted in the soda bar and main stage areas of the lower level. Consequently, I would assume that it will be business as usual in that section until closing. It will be interesting to see how successful these new hours actually are as every time I have attended things more or less shut down by 11 PM as most guys had to deal with a Monday morning work schedule.

 

Interestingly, every time I have attended both of the club’s head honchos have not trotted around either naked or in leather gear. I have never seen Phen wearing anything other a shirt and pants. Bryan, being the more adventurous of the two as far as lack of clothing is concerned, usually wears jeans while being shirtless.

 

At any rate, I can’t get into the City until the end of the month and even then I am not sure if the NYBC will fit into my agenda… So unless we have another volunteer usman2 is hereby nominated and duly elected as I am wondering how successful these new later hours will indeed be.

 

Still perhaps we might just get that volunteer. Hopefully he will be able to attend this evening and be willing to submit a report so usman2 will be “off the hook”!

NY Bondage Club Comments

 

Please read the comments keeping these two facts in mind as they may slant one way or the other:(1) This was my 1st time at the club (not at the space but at this club); and (2) I was not able to and did not get there until 11pm.

 

Overall in terms of numbers and variety of guys - there were only about 25 or so guys there at any one point from 11 to 1. When I first got there there was table scene Brayn was doing with a pretty hot guy. He was tied facing up in main stage area. Bryan worked hard and the guy ended on a very full happy noite which I believe is documented.

 

The guys were a mix of older outta shape guys...young and middle aged avg guys (like me) and a coulpe of young and midde aged hotties. Kinda the same mix on a slow night that has meetings twice a week under tamer circumstances,

 

The underwear or less thing after 11 was kinda of a bust in my opinion. I tayed in my black RIPS square cut briefs. Some guys had breifs or jocks or just shirts and some had nothing on. A few took advantage of it and played in the designated back ara...no scenes of any kind still ahappening at that hr. Monitors had to chase fully clothed guys out of the restricted areas on several occassions.

 

There was another tie down at the end with a big guy...didn't seem to handle as much as the earlier guy but it was hot and he was happ too..only thing he wanted some audience participation for something specific and no one wanted to oblige. He was completely shaved which can work either way in ones favor. He was also long and thick. Maybe earlier in the evening someone would have helped him out, but just wasn't happening tonight,
