Not making fun of or picking on this poor woman or her family but it WAS her time to go and no matter what else happened, she went.

Are you ready to go? Here I mean your paper work, your stuff and, if so inclined, your religious thoughts. I'm not and I admit it.

These kind of coincidences are thought provoking. I recall a woman who survived the Twin Tower collapse being killed on the plane crash to the Dominican which happened weeks later.

Probability theory

These kind of coincidences are coincidences.

They may be coincidences, but extremely rare coincidences.

For the math experts: what is the probability of missing a plane that crashes and dying in a car accident a week after?

The probability of a person missing a plane which crashes and then dies in an accident within a week is much higher than for the person who made the flight.

I assume you mean this flight or one where all the occupants perished? The chances of a dead person being killed in a car wreck are zero.

However, didn't a passenger in the miracle on the Hudson manage to be killed a few days later? Whatever the odds of that happening might be closer to the odds previously in question?
