I just saw RFKennedy Jr. on "Morning Joe." Does anyone know what is going on with his voice/speech? He sounds like he has some kind of medical problem, but I don't remember hearing anything about it.

Met RFK Jr. myself and had the same concern.

In truth, Kennedy has a condition called spasmodic dysphonia, a specific form of an involuntary movement disorder called dystonia that affects only the voice box.

Thanks for the link about spasmodic dysfunction---it was interesting and enlightening and I am grateful you took to time to help me out.

I skimmed through the article very quickly and plan to read it again---do you know if this is the same condition that the radio talk show host, Dianne Rehm (spelling?) has?

From another Earl---but I use my nickname "Buzz" more frequently. Aside: are you fond of your given name??? Always hated mine as a kid, but have grown more comfortable with it now---it's a family name----paternal uncles and great great grandsomethings.
