Dolph is much cuter, but Adam sure can sing. Even tonight, when he looked like k.d.lang, he still wowed the audience. And is that his boyfriend with the sweater around his shoulders? Very cute. They could make cute babies, who would then in turn make porn films like Dolph Lambert.

Adam and Dolph will both be in LA next week- I wonder if they will meet?

Now the news reveals that the group numbers are lip-synced, even though they denied that just the other day. And, for those who download their favorite perrformance from Itunes- it isn't the one you saw on tv, but is also a prerecorded version of the song. Is nothing real anymore?

i tunes recording

The I-tunes recording was discussed two years ago on the show. For most of the contestants this was the first time they had been in a recording studio. It is another experience for them. So the show was straight up with everyone when this added.

As to the group numbers, lip sing or not it is usually a pointless part of the show. I thought going into this season they had decided to make the results show only a 1/2 hour. If they drop the group number, drop the musical guest who is usually awful enough to make me turn the channel, (although good to see Ruben will be on tonight and Jennifer Hudson is going to be on soon too) keep the Ford video, we could wrap up "The Dramatic Results" with time to spare.

Motown Night on Idol

First off, as much as I enjoy watching AI, I find the fooling around between judges Paula and Simon to be a distraction that brings too much attention to themselves and takes away from the contestants trying to sing their hearts out. Last night was a perfect example as silly Paula brings coloring books and crayons for Simon to use and Simon draws a mustache on Paula face causing singer Allison Draheta, who just gave one of the best performances, to ask, "Why did you do that?" Take away all this non-sense and this show could easily be 1 hour rather than 2 dragged out hours.

Last night's mentor was Smoky Robinson who had many nice things to say about the singers, however, it was obvious that Adam Lambert, singing "Tracks of my Tears", was his favorite. Adam came out with a much different look and got praises from all the judges. One of Paula's much repeated compliments is "You can sing the phone book" and last night Adam proved he could.

Other fine performances were given by Matt, Kris, Anoop, Danny, and Allison. The judges were not impressed with Megan Joy (tattoo arm lady) or Michael Sarver. Perhaps one of these 2 will go home tonight.

Adam Lambert on American Idol

The different looks of contestant Adam Lambert:

Adam is just amazing, I love how he do different take on the old songs, either inspired by others or do it himself, he really did justice to those songs, and he had proven he can do different styles of songs quite well, an all around good artist, and I hope he will be the first out gay American idol winner.

Is Adam "out gay" on the show? Legions of frumpy house fraus Claykins who were in denial for years demand to know.

Crayola- not Payola

Cooper, I couldn't agree with you more about the judges bad behavior. It's very annoying and disrespectful both to the audience and to the singer. I hope the media picks up on your complaint and lets the show know.

Adam is as out as any contestant has been. the LA Times did a full article on the question of whether he would feel comfortable coming out on the show. That will make it hard for some to vote for him. But if teenage girls can vote for Taylor Hicks, they can vote for a gay guy.

The NY Post says that the judges robbed Allison of her airtime by their antics. By their reckoning, she is in second place. Click the link to see the ratings:

Dial Idol Predicter

http://www.dialidol.com/asp/predictions/Predictions.asp

This site is interesting. I've been watching it for a few years and they are nearly 100% accurate on predicting who will be kicked off week after week due to the "busy signal".

Adam was fantastic last night. He is a showman and that will help him in a television competition. I think if the competition was just on the radio where you didn't see them, he wouldn't be doing as well. But the entire package is helping him.

Kris is so adorable. I think Simon was right, Kris shouldn't have brought out his wife so early. To keep his personal life in the shadows might have increased his popularity with both gays and young girls.

yea, I saw Kris's wedding ring and his wife, that kind of just broke my fantasy. Nothing against married man, but we can always project. Especially he kind of need to depends on his look a bit to get the vote, unlike Chris Daughtry, people like him more after hear about his story with his wife.

Q. Was any winner of AI married at the time he or she won?

Married

None were married at the time of winning. In fact, Rueben's recent marriage is a first for an Idol winner. Fantasia is the only winner with a child at time of winning or after.

Exception of Allison last evening was a night for the men. But it was shocking that Matt is in the bottom 2. As I post this the west coast now knows Michael is heading home, as it should be. Cant believe Megan was not in the bottom 3.

I too find the antics of Paula and Simon very unprofessional. I can not believe Simon drew a mustache on Paula's lip. I still say best to separate the two of them. Two hour show and they still had to rush the comments for the final two performers.

Umm, the show just started here, so how is it that you think we already know the results, which, of course , you just told us?

Who dat talkin? Beware of Nick? Who is Nick? That guy from the Nick at Night show?

BTW, I pretty much figured that Michael was out, so no harm done.

American Idol, now 9 contestants

It took the judges a bit of time to decide whether or not Michael Sarver would get the "save" but, in the end, he was sent home. It's getting more and more difficult to listen to the chit-chat between Paula and Simon, even Ryan is getting annoying with his immature antics. Too bad AI doesn't have a team of judges like "Dancing With the Stars". Those guys know their stuff and act professional.

Matt Giraud, Michael Sarver, and Ryan Seacrest

True - but that would cut their advertising revenue by 50% - not going to happen.

The same can be said abut the results show of Dancing With the Stars.

I know many of you guys don't like Seacrest. Quite frankly, I don't understand that. I think he is very sexy and would do him in a NY minute - differnt strokes........ In fact if they replaced him as host I probably would not watch it.

But lets be fair to him. He is quick, never at a loss for words, no matter what is thrown at him and without any warning too. If you think hosting that show for two hours is easy - just try it!

RUBEN STUDDARD? Are you serious? The only think I liked about him on the show last night was that it gave me the time for an extended pee break!

Adam on my Mind

Since I don't listen to much music, I am surprised to find myself humming in my mind the song Adam Lambert did this week. more surprising, i am looking forward to seeing what he will try to do this week.

I'll pick Dolph Lambert

The original title of this thread was "Lambert - Dolph or Adam". . .

Well I met Dolph last night at Numbers and I definitely pick Dolph. What a stunning hottie in person. OMG

Also spotted in the huge crowd at Numbers was Dustin Lance Black, Bruce Villanche and of course Scott Adler.

EXPAT-I read elsewhere that you were quite taken with Dolph's beauty in person. How did it feel to see the guy, knowing that you had seen every inch of him already on screen?

Dolph in person ;-p

Rarely does the in person view match the touched up video and pictures, but in his case it was so much better in person. He is over 6' tall with a perfect white teeth smile. I guess you can't help but be taken with him.

O'Reilly Shocked

Conservative nutcase Bill O'Reilly was shocked to see the pix of Adam Lambert kissing other guys- so shocked that he blocked out the lips when showing the pix on his show. O'Reilly seemed to be intent on hurting Lambert's chances of winning the show, suggesting that people wouldn't vote for him because of this. Yet the lawyer he had for commentary disagreed, stating that no one cared when Elton and others came out.

Whether Lambert wins remains to be seen. He did get a standing ovation from the judges last night- led by Simon Cowell.
