Toward the front are the DJ booth and a very small stage for the dancers, off to the side is a lounge area with a couple of overstuffed couches, as well as two small rooms (with lockable doors) for privates. Mostly twinks at Trixx, and mostly white (very small minority population in RI). I've only been there three times, but all three times the dancers were very cute. Although Trixx does not have a license for full nudity, dancers take almost everything off on stage, and most dancers are willing to show you "the goodie package" offstage for a decent tip. A couple of dancers even let my hand wander into their g-strings after getting to know them a bit; neither of them made any great efforts to hide what was going on. If you're interested in a private show, you pay $10 to the club for the use of one of the private rooms, plus the dancer's fee. Most charge $60 for a 20-25 minute private. Since you're behind a locked door during a private show, what you do is between you and the dancer. The action seems to take place on the premises. I didn't get the impression that any of the dancers did any escorting after hours. Trixx has a full liquor license. Drinks are reasonably priced, from $2 for bottled water and soda, $3 for domestic beer, $4 for imported, $5 for a top-shelf shot, and $7 gets you a 16 oz. top-shelf mixed drink. No food is served. Parking is free and plentiful. There is one restroom for either/or (gives you an idea as to just how small the place is). Ladies are welcome, although unescorted women (i.e., if a woman is not a hag with fag in tow) pay a higher cover ($10 vs. $7 on weekends). The surrounding area doesn't look too great (very industrial, next to a working port), but I wouldn't worry for your safety. I feel very safe going there, and I've never heard about a problem. I had a ton of fun the last time at Trixx. There were 7 dancers on a Sunday night, 2 muscle boys, 3 twinks, and 2 in between. I did a private, and for $70 ($10 door charge, $60 to the dancer) I had a whole lotta fun with a very cute dancer. Even though Trixx is almost an hour's drive for me, it's still worth going to once a month or so because it's a lot more free and loose than any bars/clubs in Massachusetts. By the way, unlike all bars/clubs in MA, you can smoke at Trixx (even pipes and cigars, provided no one complains), yet the ventilation is good enough that the smoke isn't too bad for nonsmokers (I don't smoke). Final note: Trixx and Platforms are side-by-side. Platforms is a straight dance club at the main entrance. If you're facing the door to Platforms, Trixx is off to the left, with a handicap ramp leading to the door. If you're not familiar with the area, you should call for directions beforehand. Staff very friendly and accommodating. One dancer did get all the way nude, but the others got very close. If the dancers think you are interested in them, they sit next to you to chat. It is not like Montreal where the start up conversation is like, "hi my name is Jason, do want a private?" No pressure, just conversation. My favorite is Cody.
