Saw this on American Male, he goes on to say he is a 22 yo wink. Kind of a big boy to be a twink I think.

Perhaps we need to coin a new term for such cases.

How about calling him a Twunk?

I didn't know there was a size limit for twinks. :9 I'd call AdamLV a twink and if memory serves he's a six footer as well.

I may not be able to define one.... but I know one when I see one. :-)

And I have recently met a gorgeous, sexy, erotic one. }>

Last year when I began searching the web for gay sites, escorts, etc., a good friend of mine introduced me to the word "twink". I did not give the word much thought until I began perusing this particular site and reading and viewing. Personally, I find the word abhorrent, for it just gives another classification of a group of young men who happen to reside in this fickled, insensitive, intolerant community-- the so-called gay community, a community which is an extention of the greater community ("forward" community). I don't like the word "straight" either. Anyway--could young men just be called that: young guy or man???

Twink:-( :-( :-(

I've seen MANY definitions of "Twink" over the years. The most humorous was a derivative from the product name "Twinkie": a moist and tender treat with no nutritional value whatsoever but with a delicious cream filling you can suck out.

RE: What defines a

Bruce Rodgers' "Gay Talk" (formerly called "The Queen's Vernacular") includes the word "twinkie" as one of many terms related to "chicken." It apparently comes from late 1960's San Francisco slang for a good-looking young straight guy.

>hadn't heard "twinkies for awhile do they still make them.

You know, I don't actually know! Does anyone? I remember seeing them individually wrapped (as opposed to the old 2-pack) several years ago but I haven't seen them in ages. Or maybe I just didn't notice them, going right for the Fritos.

>Guess we are getting old

<sigh>

All things considered, I'd rather be getting old (and enjoying those twinks) than the alternative. :9

well I certainly don't consider myself an expert, butt. . . two things that make me question: shaved and stats. Most twinks are smooth or have silky smooth body hair. Stubble, yuck! Give me the full treatment, hair and all or none at all. And the stats, probably a little on the beefy side; or is that chubby, or is that baby fat? I've hired everything from twinks to beef. Ah, the pleasures of the menu. Two suggestions: post the link for the site, and MarcAnthony, please help us with your definitive perspective.

If you have to ask you simply won't ever know :-)

I very much doubt if 6'2" and 190 lbs equates to "chubby" or "baby fat" More likely to be nicely ripped muscle.

I always thought the term "twink" came from the nursery rhyme, Twinkle, Twinkle little star!

My lover, who is under doctor's orders to keep trying to put on some more weight, though don't worry he's not emaciated or anything, occaisionally buys a box of the individual wrapped. And, of course, they've even started making a "light Twinkie" (or whatever they call it) for those who want to pretend that they are trying to lose weight. :+

twinks & tricks?

Fran Liebowitz, around twenty years ago in one of her essays, discussed tricks. In those days, no one wanted to admit being a trick but wanted to be the one who had done the picking up of the trick.

She related many characteristics of tricks, two of which I remember: a trick issomeone who believes the lyrics to pop songs and, without looking for something more substantial, will go ahead and read the cereal box.

Characteristics common to twinks?
