DRAKES, Prague, last night

i find myself in prague for the week, and doing some work for william higgins productions. Last night i went down to his bar, called DRAKES, it was stripper night, and on stage was one of his models,

 

the show is on a stage just left of the bar, with chairs around it, good sound, great lights, and a very hot dancer, the show lasted about 45 min, with only one dancer on thursday at 10pm.

 

For fri and sat their are 2 strippers one at 6 and one at 10.

 

tonight i hope to get to escape for their midnight show.

When I was in Prague 8 or 9 years ago, I visited Drakes several times. My travel companions had been there on previous visits and had raved about the dancers who also doubled as escorts. On our first night there, we picked up three of the dancers for the two of us (the other having left earlier for early bed).

 

For the following 10 days of our visit, we went throught about 6 or 7 of the dancers/escorts, besides meeting others in other clubs. These guys were not cheap at that time; they charged about 5000 crowns I think and that translated to $150US at that time. However they came to our hotel and provided their own transportation as several had their own cars. I found escorts from other sources who charged less (2500 crowns) and were just as much fun.

 

To give some idea of the value of money at that time, I was told that the average wage in Prague was $300US a month so these boys were pulling in very good money. Many of them left for the USA as soon as their English was learned. That was one problem with the dancers whom we met;with rare exceptions, their English was little to non-existent.

 

It seems from your account that things have changed at Drakes. I do remember that Higgins was behind many of the dancers of Drakes at that time 8 years ago but there were many more dancers on stage during the evening (usually 6 to 9) and there was a backroom as well. The bartender I remember as being very friendly.

 

One of the dancers/escorts was a policeman who did double duty at Drakes during the evenings and he served as our driver for a trip to the thermal baths at Karlsbad. He was very handsome and a real hunk;married with two children. My travel companion fell in love with him! Alas, a trip he planned for him to come to the US fell through the following year but that's life!!!
