For Left Coast fans of male strippers, there is a new male strip club besides Dicks in Phoenix and Nob Hill in SF. Hot Rods has been open for a few weeks and is holding its grand opening on April 14 at 9 pm.

It is located west of the LV strip, north of Rio and Gold Coast casinos. Email me, if you need directions. I just spent 3 nights of my spring break visit to Las Vegas at this new club and had a great time. Be sure and have a private with Show, Mateo, and Mikey. ;)

I will post a review in the FAQ section.

Great news. Las Vegas calls itself "sin city" but has never had much gay nightlife. Maybe this is a step in the right direction. Love to read your review, when you post it. Does the club have a website? Thanks....

Hot Rods has a page on Myspace ( http://www.myspace.com/hotrodslv ). If you go to their myspace page, the dancer in the center with the cowboy hat is Mateo. Having a private with him is a must do. ;) The blond dancer on the right is from Russia and the picture does not do him justice. He is awesome in person!

My review is currently available in the FAQ section at the top of the page.

I checked out Hot Rods with one of my Stockaholic friends on Wednesday this week. I actually booked this trip to Las Vegas because I heard about the opening of Hot Rods... its a good thing I also like to gamble. I was quite disappointed with the talent. Mateo is pretty cute but he was the only dancer that I would even consider hiring. I'm really thrilled to see an establishment like this in Las Vegas but I encourage the management to work on the sound, lighting and most important: the quality of the dancers. I'll go back and check it out again tomorrow and would love to post again saying I was wrong... I really hope Fridays are better!

Usually we read about stip clubs closing, so, it's definitely good news to hear of one opening.

When the 20 Club first opened it's lineups weren't that memorable, but in time things worked out. Today, it has over 30 dancers with a wide range of builds and looks.

I hope Hot Rods is around for a very long time.

Hey guys,

I visited Hot Rods on Wednesday night while on vacation in Las Vegas. First of all, it was easy to get to -- only a 5 minute drive from the strip. Also, as I think it was already mentioned, the bar offers a pick-up service for free.

My biggest impression of the place is how sincerely FRIENDLY and WELCOMING everyone there was to me, from the girl working the door, to the bar waitress, to the lovely dancer (whose name I forget) who sat and chatted with me for a long while -- he had performed in an amateur night contest here a few weeks back and then they hired him as a regular), to the manager, Heather. Heather, in particular, came over to me, introduced herself, wanted to be sure I was personally having a good time, wanted to know what she could do for me, etc. Everyone really seemed to care about the patrons on a personal level. When I was leaving at 2:30 a.m., even the security guard was really nice to me. I felt pampered, and it was refreshing.

I was apparently there on a slow night. "Amateur Night" events had already been wrapped up, and there were only about 8-10 customers, until a group of 5 or 6 very good looking guys and a girl came in for a short while also.

There were about 8 or 9 dancers. I agree that right now there is a lack of consistently-high quality dancers at Hot Rods. I didn't see any of the ones mentioned in previous posts or on that photo on the myspace website. I had a pretty disappointing lapdance with a twinky kid (also forgot his name), but then a fantastic lapdance in the semi-private $40 per song room with a hot guy named DUSTIN. He was generous with his time, and he got completely nude. He was a bit uncomfortable with going too far, saying "You never know who's watching..." But nonetheless the dance was so good I went back for another, and I really had to hold back to keep from creaming my pants! Needless to say, I didn't want to leave...

Also noteworthy: They had one of the guys, Todd, from the Fratmen.TV website there as a regular dancer that night. Pretty hot -- but not one of my favorite fratmen. If they got DANIEL or LANDON to dance there, I might have to make another trip to Las Vegas real soon.

All in all, I was glad I went. I echo your sentiments: It's good news that ANY all nude male club is opening up somewhere, and there's a good chance this place could improve with time. If they were 5 minutes from where I live, I'd be there plenty.

Since you have these MAJOR concerns, why not write a personal letter to the management with your suggestions. This would help you and others (perhaps) during future visits to this venue!!

had to throw in my two cents worth.. I joined this club's myspace page to hopefully keep in the loop on what goes on.. I emailed the club (thru myspace), voicing my concerns over their pricing structure.. $40/song or $100 for 3 songs.. and compared those prices to $200 or so for "full entertainment" in your hotel room..it has been over a week and no "moderator" has logged onto their myspace..either they are very busy.. or just dont care enough to keep their new potential customers informed..

Well, I don't think I said I have MAJOR concerns... just sharing my observations. Sometimes its useful to hear other peoples' experiences when visiting unfamiliar places.

Oh and I when I was there, I did convey my observations to the General Manager who seemed receptive but not overly ambitious (to make major improvements).

When paying top dollar, I expect a high quality product... if you don't, that's up to you. But I think the valus of this site is in pointing out the good AND the bad so others can get a fair picture before spending their time and money.

OK, finally checked out Hot Rods. I went on a Friday night, got there around 10:30, stayed until 3AM. The staff is clearly eager to please; everyone from the doorman to the manager to the drink server was all very nice and attentive. But that's obviously not why you're here. If you're looking for Gaiety-caliber talent (went to the Gaiety in the olden days; never been to Montreal), you're not going to find it here. I did find a number of the dancers quite attractive, but I tend not to like coverboy (whether OUT or Men's Health) types. Mateo is clearly the star of the venue, and he definitely has the most fans (couldn't get a seat stage-side during his dances), but I wasn't all that into him. There was a little hottie with a shaved head I went gaga over, to the point where I ran home to grab more cash. They do have an ATM on the premises, but I made it a point to leave my card at home (some good that strategy did me).

Here's the pricing:

Topless (pfffft, what's the point?) lap dance, one song (~5 minutes): $20

Nude lap dance, one song: $40

3-song nude lap dance: $100

VIP room 15 minutes (in other words, 3 songs): $150

VIP room 30 minutes: $250

VIP room 60 minutes: $400

The $50 difference between Option #3 and #4 gets you one of the VIP rooms instead of being in the curtainless room right outside the main lounge, but my dancer got me into a VIP room nonetheless. Once in the room, he got naked, let me play around with his butthole and cock a bit, he rubbed his cock against my stomach, and he even allowed a bit of tonsil hockey, all this despite the supposed video surveillance.

A few interesting notes:

* Although they do not serve alcohol on the premises, you can actually keep a stash in your car and go in and out of the club all night long. When I joked to the manager that I would have packed a flask, he told me to go ahead next time.

* Squad (that's what they call Vice here) was in the club during the early part of the evening, but I don't think it affected activity much. Even after they left, the dancers played by the same rules. The place is new, so they're trying to "keep it pretty clean."

* The dancers are only nude while on stage and during privates. But on Saturday night around 3AM, the dancers all get naked and stay naked until closing.

* If the dancer allows it, you can actually touch a dancer anywhere (cock, balls, butthole, G-spot) while he's on stage. Once he's off stage, however, those areas are off-limits, even (supposedly) in the VIP rooms.

* the $400 VIP hour gets you a room with a king-sized bed, although I didn't see it. $400 will also get you an awfully nice room at the Four Seasons, Wynn, or Bellagio, but obviously the naked boy isn't included. More important, $400 will get you at least a couple of hours with a full-service escort.

Hot Rods bases their pricing structure pretty close to what the straight clubs charge. The big difference is that a working girl in a hotel charges anywhere from $400 to $1000 (agencies charge waaaaaaay more than that) whereas full-service male escorts go from $200-250. I spent ~$250 tonight, but I get a real kick out of strip clubs. I just love the wide open raunchiness of a strip club, and I'd rather spend $250 for 4-5 hours of entertainment instead of just 1. Yes, I realize that I'm probably in the minority on that one. If you're looking for straight (you know what I mean) sex, then go ahead and hire an escort. But if you like strippers, Hot Rods is probably worth your time. Oh, and if you're only attracted to coverboy types like Mateo, get there early. His dance card fills up quick.
