Dick's Cabaret in Phoenix

At the end of October I visited Dick's Cabaret Male Strip Club in Phoenix for the last time. There were rumors it would be closing in November and when I returned in December it was gone. I will miss it-- there were some HOT guys there. However, it could get a bit spendy. I was hoping some of the unemployed might hire out on one of the escort sites but haven't really seen anyone from there. I'm still looking for KEN, RYAN and CHRISTIAN from the club. PLEASE escort!!! The FLEX club in Phoenix is a nice alternative-- lots of easy fun with a good mix of guys and a hell of a lot cheaper than Dick's. Are there any other recommended male strip clubs in Phoenix?

total male nudity is gone for now at least in Phoenix. Quite a few of the bars do offer strippers on certain nights of the week, but the guys only go down to g-strings..In no particular order, and from my memory of current offerings...

 

Wednesday nights-

Thursday nights-

Pumphouse 2 (alternate Thurs with drag on "non-strip" weeks)

I have had the pleasure of meeting 4 fellow m4mers on my visits to Montreal. If I can return the favor to other visitors to my home city of Phoenix, I would love to. I believe it is always fun to share favorite haunts with new people. Who knows...if we go into it with an open mind, we might learn something new and make a friend along the way.

I posted earlier about my email to the manager of Dick's and his reply that they would re-open soon. And I guess the time has arrived!

 

The latest issue of IONAZ has an advertisement for Dick's Hangout Showclub, opening this Friday night, 2/15/07, at 7 pm, and open until 4 am. It is a new location in north Phoenix, 11040 N. 21st Avenue, a couple of blocks north of W. Peoria Ave, close to the 17 freeway. As a point of reference, the Crowne Plaza Hotel is at the Peoria Ave offramp from the 17 freeway.

 

Since I was visiting Phoenix this past weekend, I drive by the location in the name of research for this site. There was no signage on the modern red brick building at 11040. It was an office building with no indication of any remodeling going on.

Hopefully, a Phoenix resident can drive by next week and see if the new Dick's does open on time.

I found the same ad in IONAZ that was mentioned.. It looked promising. But if you go to the old website for Dicks cabaret (http://www.dickscabaret.com) it claims that the new "Dicks Hangout" is not associated with them at all, merely someone else trying to use their name. The website claims that Dicks Cabaret will be opening again soon. Does this mean we will have two male strip clubs? Or is this merely more gay drama?

TOOK ONE FOR THE TEAM

 

I went to the new "Dick's Hangout Showbar" tonite...It is a new strip club, different owners from the old Dicks Cabaret. Smaller, more "down-scale" club, but fun none the less. The area is more commercial, so hopefully no issues with neighbors. There were 8-10 strippers there, ranging from very short thin and fem, to large, buff and butch. It has a $15 cover, but you can get $5 off by mentioning the ad from IONAZ. No alcohol is served, and canned sodas are $4. Strippers dance two songs at a time.. first one clothed , and on the second one go down to nude.. they offer lap dances on futon-type couches located around the perimeter of the room. A nude lapdance goes for $20 per song. They also offer another type of dance for $30. With that one, the client lays down on the couch and the stripper gets on top of him.. One of the dancers told me about this more expensive dance, but he had not done one yet, and I did not see anyone try it either. One dancer informed me that they are going to offer private dances in the back within a few weeks. they will have small rooms/cubicles with half curtains. Quite a few of the dancers danced previously at the old Dick's Cabaret..

Could you describe the layout / interior of the club? Is it similar to the old Hideout and old Dick's? I liked those clubs, because they were like straight strip clubs with comfortable lounge chairs to sit and watch the guys dance.

 

If you go back to the new club again, I second Kippy's suggestion of listing the name and description of some of the dancers. ;-)

According to one of the dancers, the club itself is still a work in progress. New tables and chairs are on their way... right now it is very cheap, used banquet style chairs and small round formica tables. The only new items were the futon-style sofas on the perimeter of the room. It is not by any means a fancy place..at least not yet. to give you an idea, it is mostly a square room, with one small "leg" where the entrance and bar is. The stage is located on one side of the room, with several chairs where you can sit right up against the stage, plus tables surrounding the sides of the stage. As stated, sofas line two of the perimeter walls where the "lap dances" take place. Behind the bar/dj area there is what appears to be a corridor (curtain hides it) where the dancers dressing room is located. This area is where I was told the private rooms will be located once completed.

 

I dont have the memory for names like some of the other posters here, but I will try to remember a few, in no specific order

 

1) Johnny (at least i think that was his name).. A very small, petite boy, very young looking, dark shaggy hair, probably about 5'5 and 115 lbs...spent most of the evening going from lap to lap of the customers..

 

2) Landon..another 20ish twink, dark hair, fuzzy chin, smooth body..about 5'8 or so, 140 lbs

 

3) Devin...I am sure i have seen reviews of him as an escort in phx before, but he is not listed on Daddys site since the re-do.. early 20's student at ASU..cute, smooth, 5'9 or so, around 140-150, brown hair with highlights..stayed very busy with lapdances..

 

4) JT..very small statured, young body but face looks mid-20's. He used to work at Dicks...He did get hard during lap dance with another customer.

 

5) Ken...another dancer from Dicks.. mid 20's , more buff, a few tattoos, admits to being bi.. enjoying sex..he would most likely be available outside the club, for the right price

 

6) Christian--early 20's, very abercrombie looking.. cleancut, nice pecs, smooth..collegiate looking..

 

7) Derek...biggest, butchest of the bunch.. also used to work at Dicks..leather harness..big meaty member..

 

8) at least one other dancer i didnt catch his name,but early 20's, dark hair, obviously professionally trained dancer, slim, smooth,

 

There were several other guys walking around who I assume are also dancers, but not performing that night. One guy (Ken said this guy was his cousin), looked like a young mario lopez with tats....

 

I will definitely go back,but remember, take plenty of money.. it gets expensive...and for now at least, till the backrooms open up, it is just a place to look.. not for anything more to happen..

 

Bottom line... fun place to satisfy the need to see boys until I make it back to Montreal...
