I just heard from a good friend of his that Austin of Gaiety fame - and often discussed on this board - was found dead in Las Vegas this past week.

I thought his fans here would want to know.

Very sad news...

Austin was a popular Gaiety dancer who was remembered for his signature military type walk back and forth on the stage. An extremely handsome young man.

This is truly sad news. So much potential gone too soon. I hope his friends and family find comfort in their memories of their time spent with him. He was always a gentleman and always so cordial whenever I encountered him at the G.

VDN-

Thanks for putting a face to the information. I don't rememeber him from the Gaiety but is obvious that several here were fond of him. It's a sad situation.

Hello Lucky,

Your welcome. And yes, a very sad situation. The temptations that come with "everything" connected to the world of modeling, being young, being handsome ... I am sure it is quite hard at times to say no and maintain the best path. Those that do stumble and find their way to a stable path once again are fortunate.

I don't want to sound so philosophical, especially not knowing all the details, but death at anytime is sad. What makes this so tragic is that he was so young and he had a great deal of promise and opportunity ahead of him.

Andre, Chris Williams, Christian Fox, Ken and Zack from Canada ... and now Austin ... this list is getting longer and I truly hope it doesn't anymore.

VDN..Thank You for the Photo's. Unfortunately the Circumstance's are not my "usual reason" for a Big Thanks!

It is nice that those who knew and remember him from his appearance's get one more look.

Those who think that the $$ may come easy to the "Extremely Good Looking Working Guy's', sometimes forget the fact, that they have to deal with thing's, just as we all do.

Goodlooking... can make a Life a little easier, more comfortable, but only in a Material Way! :-(

I remember the first time I saw Austin at

the Gaiety (I believe it was his first time

dancing there too) … it was spring 1996 –his

original stage name was Brad – and I always

called him Brad even after his stage name

changed. He was always a polite and decent

guy. He wasn’t the type of Gaiety dancer that

was always and only interested in private shows.

He would sit down and talk with you or go out

and just have a cup of coffee or a drink with

you. I am saddened to hear of his passing and

hope he is in a better place.

Thank you VDN for posting thoses pictures, but

although physically beautiful, his inner beauty

was even greater.

RIP Brad

Fisher :(

I've been thinking about this all week - ever since I got the call on Sunday. I feel guilty I guess in that the last time he called me (around Thanksgiving) I just didn't think I could help him again - it just kept turning out the same way. I thought he needed to hit the proverbial bottom to actual get his life cleaned up - and now I see how that turned out.

Hello Manrent,

Do you know why the thread about Austin's passing was removed on Muscle Service?

I have learned that sometimes the help we give (thinking it's help) actually hurts the person more. If you did reach out again he may have been fine for a while and then, sadly, things would end like they did anyway. It sounds as if he was unable to help himself or seek the appropriate help he needed. When a soul is in complete torment and pain there is not much any of us can do.

I am sure what you did do for him in the past was wonderful. However, true change has to really come from within. His death is sad. Hopefully, other people in his situation will learn from the path he took so they don't end up like he did.

Again, don't be hard on yourself as there is so much any of us can do when someone's soul is in that much pain and suffering. He was lucky to have you as a friend.

VDN. My sentiments also. As with Many Thing's in Life, IF the will to make change does not also come from within the Person seeking Help, those of us on the Outside can do just so much! I have Personally experienced that a few times, Probably more than I ever wanted to!

So I guess the bottom line.. is being able to say, you did all you could do in the Exisiting situation! Take whatever Comfort in that Fact, that you are able to.

Thanks for the thoughts VDN & JT

The thread was removed from Muscle Service at the request of one of Mark's friends from Montreal. He asked and I emailed MSS site.
