Over in The Deli, a suggestion was made to allow each escort to write a short ad for himself. HooBoy's response—and I think it was a good one—is that they can already do this on Meetlocalmen.com, which is always easy to get to from this site.

 

It's a pretty good site, but I have one big problem, and maybe HooBoy can get the word to them. (Or maybe they read the Message Center here?) It's the same problem rentboy.com used to have, and fixed. Meetlocalmen.com has no search function, so to find a particular escort, after you go the proper city, you have to scroll through all of the escorts to find the one you're looking for. And it's done by picture, which may be a different pic than the one you know from this site.

 

So could they provide a way to get to a particular escort quicly?

 

Oh yeah, one more thing. There's a CA escort who is listed as visiting NYC in January and a few days in February. Last I looked, a few days ago, his pic is still there in the NYC listings. How often is the site updated?

Meetlocalmen is a poorly designed site...there are many other places for escorts to write bios about themselves. I think I listed some good ones in another thread the other day. Meetlocalmen is a paying sponsor of this site, so of course Hooboy recommends it...but it is far from the best site out there!

http://maleprime.com - best design & easiest to use, hands down (or dicks up, as the case may be)

http://rentboy.com - well-established...everyone knows it

 

These are both sites that are free to view but they charge escorts to advertise. That guarantees that you don't see outdated ads, which is one of the biggest complaints about the free (to advertise) sites. On a pay site, if the escort doesn't pay, his ad is pulled. Rentboy and Maleprime are also quick to update changes.

Hooboy's love affair with MLM is pretty obvious. If I were an escort there is no way I would ever pay to be part of MLM. The design must be a joke. It is not user friendly, not searchable, has more outdated links and ads than this site! I have never hired an escort from MLM and very rarely even visit the site these days. There are better ways to find a hot guy on the Internet!

Now consider this.

 

The star of the series - someone who benefits GREATLY from the show and gets many jobs BECAUSE of the show and has even been protected by the producer of the show, suddenly goes ON THE SHOW ITSELF, and starts slamming the SPONSOR for no apparent reason and certainly no justifiable cause!! Remember, the show is live.

 

Certainly the star is entitled to his opinion, but I am certain the producer of the show would think the star was behaving poorly, exhibiting poor taste and a lack of judgment. And probably the producer would be very offended, certainly shocked, but mostly hurt.

"Protected"?? I have never needed nor received "protection" from you. I have no idea what that means. As for "no apparent reason", I have clearly stated my reasons for disliking meetlocalmen, and I am not alone (I've received 2 emails today from other escorts who got no work from meetlocalmen and who felt they'd been ripped off). What you're basically saying is that we shouldn't feel free to express our opinions here, if those opinions might piss off your sponsors. Way to go, Hooboy. You're discrediting your own site by promoting censorship, which was the reason for the mass exodus last month. You might want to give that some thought.
