A few more details about this week's show.

 

First off, get ready for GAIETY STICKER SHOCK... In order to make up for lost revenues from this weekend's closing, management has decided to raise the Holiday weekday rate from $17 to $20. Don't expect anything extra for your money. Still 7 dancers and no complimentary refreshments/snacks. PS to management, Tiny Tim says thanks.

 

As for the show, a very special guest and featured patron this Monday was the father of "Picture Wednesday", our very own, Mr. VDN. He certainly added some holiday cheer to this otherwise dull looking lounge. VDN joined me in the reviewers box and will report later with some of his findings... As for "foxy", he's still on assignment and will return next Monday with a full report.

 

Review of this week's new dancer:

 

As was reported by noviceny, there's a new boy at the G and his name is MIKE. He was a welcomed addition to the lineup and appeared very relaxed before an audience. He's done stage dancing before, but not nude and not before an all male audience... MIKE entered stage to the song "FEVER" dressed in his doctor's operating room attire which he quickly removed, stripping down to a well packed g-string. This dark hair/eyes dancer, has youthful good looks, a lean muscular build with well defined abs and pecs. His stage show is not much dancing but doing some difficult stunts. He did a few splits, a couple of back rolls, and, with his smooth bubble butt pointing in the air, he entertained us with some fast moving push-ups while lifting his back leg to give us a better look at his cock and balls. MIKE knows how to gain the patrons attention, he has a killer smile, makes great eye contact, and plays nicely with the tipping patrons. I enjoyed seeing him on stage so much that I stayed around to see his 3:30 show. IMO, he's going to have a banner week and will be back within 2 months... As with all dancers, I strongly recommend you talk with them about your preferences before doing a private dance.

 

RAY, a regular G-dancer, with a muscular build, entered stage with a new leather look. He was wearing an eye patch, a leather type scouts cap, leather vest, and holding a ridding crop. I wonder if this is going to be RAY's new image. RAY is tall, dark, handsome, and stays erect for both song. His left arm is blackened with tattoos and he's one of the few G-dancers not to trim/shave his body hair. RAY has one of the nicest ways of picking up tips. So, if you're sitting stage side, place your tip at the end of the stage and enjoy the personal attention you'll receive. Btw, how Ray get stuck with the song "Activator"???

 

As for the rest of the lineup, Madrigal's brothers JAVIER (older and more muscular) and STEFANO/Gino (youthful looking with boyish charm and a swimmers build) are looking very good and in top shape... For those interested in the bigger guys, JARED, a tall, muscular dancer who's not only well endowed, but has a cute bubble butt, will meet your needs... and finally, VDN's favorite dancer this week, DRAKO! Yes, he's back with vengeance. As VDN said as he entered for this 2nd song, "WOW! is he BIG". He has platinum blond spiked hair, a very muscular and defined build, and is an energetic performer. He pounds the stage so hard that the vibrations make the entire theatre shake.

 

This week's show has something for everyone. Enjoy.

I found this OUTRAGEOUS! Of course I still payed because I am a pig BUT I looked confused when I didn't get change back and Denise pointed up at the $20 sign like I was Nell or something. This was exploitation of the holidays. I guess she needs the money to replace the ceiling tiles Drako knocked loose in the Howard Johnson's.

Well thank you for those kind words Cooper. I will, shortly, describe some of the drunken debauchery that took place with the two of us on that VERY cold Monday.

 

1) Mike - a newcomer from CT

NICE upper body and nice use of a stethoscope (he placed it on his ASS to hear his ASS-beat). A new crowd favorite for sure.

 

2) Drako

HOT HOT HOT. I usually don't like all that muscle but DAMN, like Paris says, "He's hot". He danced SO powerfully the whole damn place was shaking. HI ENERGY for sure and you won't be disappointed. He also likes to put his anus in your face so sit ringside if you can. I loved talking to him in the lounge as he almost looks possessed. My favorite by far in a long time. It was worth waiting around until the 2nd show to see him again before Cooper and I left to abuse people.

 

3) Javier - from Chicago

Hot.

 

4) Jared

His hair seems darker and VERY messy and unattended which made him VERY attractive! The 5 'Clock shadow was a nice touch, he has the most SUCCULENT lips and his ass is perfection.

 

5) Ray

Nazi girl sout. What the HELL was he thinking with that outfit!?! A black leather girl scout cap, black leather vest and a riding crop ... what the hell was he NOT thinking? OH .. and an eye patch! HELLO?!?

 

6) Robert

Hot.

 

7) Stephano - from Chicago

Hot - AND narcissistic. There is only room for one in his mirror.

 

NOW - Cooper and I disembarked from the SS Gaiety and took some shore leave at SBNY http://www.splashbar.com/ . OMG what fun! They redid the joint but I wouldn't have known since this was my first time there. AWESOME happy hour specials! The downstairs bathroom LABYRINTH (you must see this to believe it) was a religious experience. Opaque walls are used in a wonderful way. You can see your friend, or a stranger, taking a leak! Cooper waved to me twice as he was urinating. Classy. Also, the NON-opaque shower stalls are things I want to come back and enjoy. The owner's partner/spouse took us on such a lovely tour and treated us like Norwegian royalty. Speaking of Norwegian royalty, Cooper and I were a bit sauced. He had hands on, in and down people and places. Trust me when I tell you downstairs is FUN. Alexi (HOT Russian), Sebastian (stared in "Take Me Out": The Boca Edition), Doug (shirtless god that greeted me), Mike (Cooper gave him a full "exam") and Victor (he slapped me HARD and I loved it) are bartenders extraordinary! Treat yourself and go!

 

We left SBNY, counseled two street dwellers, scared a Yoga master, mortified Cooper when I loudly declared Yoga master wasn't an escort, made a scene in a laundromat and then went to Nisos http://www.nisos-ny.com for some DELIGHTFUL din-din and SHAMELESS flirting with Finland bus boy and several hot waiters from everywhere except North America.

 

We went to LeFluers and it was CLOSED! I know Regina reported on Buddies BUT is there anything going on with LeFluers?!?

 

Cooper is Barbara Walters. He knows how to ask questions. I had a grand time indeed and I thank Cooper for showing me a good time. It has been sometime since I was in NYC so it was a delight for sure.

 

Catch the show if you can this week as it is great (even though it is $20 minus the starch buffet).

I guess Denise heard that there were complaints that she was charging $20 this week with nothing added...so today she added an 8th dancer. None other than the sour puss house favorite, Neo. I hadn't seen him dance in years...since he was dancing under the name Stephen. My God, what an attitude! Not a smile...not even an hint. And just walking about the stage like it was the most boring thing in the world to do. It even seemed a chore for him to pick up the his tips from the stage floor. What is he so uptight about?! Or what chip does he have up his ass! I can't imagine that he gets many requests for private shows. As soon as he came off stage (the 3:30 show) he was back in Denise's booth snacking and helping her count the money. Weird...

As for Drako, his body is certainly ripped but unfortunately full of steroid pimples from head to toe, front and back. This dancer has gotten so big so fast, I'm fearful he may be overdosing on steroids..He is, nevertheless, a very energetic dancer and seems to be quite gay, which is certainly a rarity for the Gaiety.

Thanks for that info nycpaul. THAT is what we get for $20 - that lackluster immigrant with an attitude? Does he actually feel he is doing anyone a favor? And did someone actually tell him the "look at me I am an aloof supermodel" routine works?

 

There are MANY dancers, like Austin, who can do that and totally get away with it. Neo/Stephen can't and should stop it.

 

I feel management's decision to go to $20 this week is an insult to the faithful regulars who are the bread and butter of the G. Trying to get extra $$ because of the holiday visitors is low. With that said, I think I am going back tomorrow to enjoy Robert's face, Jared's ass and all of Drako.

Thanks likeem for the original posting of the lineup... seeing it this morning is what motivated me to stop in and see the show while I was in the city (Tuesday 12/28 for the 1:30 pm show)... and thanks to cooper for providing the details that got me even more excited to visit. I too was suprised by the $20 admission fee.

 

One update on the lineup... Neo was added as an 8th dancer (dancing third).

 

As to my own thoughts about the dancers:

 

Loved Mike. What a hot guy! Looks like a high school track and field jock turned stripper/club kid. Killer smile, and he knows how to use his sexy eyes to give you a look that is enticing and just the slightest bit naughty. Liked the doctor routine as well. Great lean, muscular, tight, ripped bod, very cute/hot face. If I'm not mistaken, he's Giovanni of Hunkmania (from CT)... yes?

Drako was certainly high energy as reported; he put sooo much energy and effort into his dance number.... definitely excited the crowd.

 

Neo was... well, he just seemed to hate being there. Maybe this was unintended, but he is one of the few dancers whose attitude on stage (intended or not) resulted in him receiving no applause on the first number and almost no applause at the end of his second set. too bad... he's got a bad-boy look that he could work, if he tried to connect with the audience.

 

I like Jarad... easy going guy... tall, built... reminds me of David Schwimmer on steriods... but in my mind he commited a Gaiety faux pas... there were two giddy young women at stage right in the second row, who were behaving as if they were trying to convince themselves they were starring in an Aerosmith video... hooting and hollering for a second after the first few dancers left the stage, and then giggled loudly to themselves as if excited by their own "outrageous" behavior. The first few guys (appropriately) gave them no more (or less) attention than anyone else. Jarad, on the other hand, stood and flirted with them in front of the whole audience, played to them more than anyone else--even men who left nice tips for him... (he did do a brief spotlight for all who tipped him, don't get me wrong)... at the end of his number he yelled at the two girls from center stage (over the music) to meet him in the lounge... they didn't understand him, so he kept yelling at them from across the stage while everyone else looked on... finally, they caught on... and he walked off... again, I find Jarad sexy, and quite charming in the lounge... but I thought this was not appropriate. Something more subtle would be appropriate for this kind of thing in the Gaiety.

 

My favorite by far (as always) was Ray. If you like em tall, dark, handsome and muscular, it's hard to beat Ray. Must confess: I tremble a little every time I first see him on stage. I think he's magnificent. I wasn't as bothered by his new outfit as one of the above posters was... "a leather girl scout uniform" as someone said (okay, that is a good one)... as far as I'm concerned Ray could wear diapers and still be all man... I didn't mind the new outfit, eye patch and all... he tried to "work" the domination outfit well, I thought... and he's soo disarmingly charming when he bends down to say thanks to those who tip him. Of course, getting to see him in the lounge where you can stand toe to toe with him and size yourself up to him is an exciting experience to those of us who like tall hunks... and he's very tall. I've heard Ray's not into the domination thing in privates (at least, not in recent times)... if anyone knows better, please let me know... he's one dancer I've not yet had the pleasure of meeting privately... (his darn phone keeps getting disconnected or something...) but I'd love to meet him.

 

I enjoyed Mike's performance so much that I stayed through his numbers in the 3:30 show, then left to brave the cold NY weather.

You trying to drag me back into to this controversy? I agree with your description of Ben Versace's strip performances. In my biased opinion I think seeing Ben perform at the gaiety would be worth the $20 admission price. It is too bad that he is not dancing at the Gaiety. About 1 & 1/2 weeks ago I saw him strip at Warehouse 29 dance club/bar in Greensboro, NC and he was very hot and really got the patrons hot. Have a Happy New Year.
