VDN, Great job in getting the latest scoop on BUDDIES. I was very impressed when I entered the bar with you and all the bartenders/waiters said "HI VDN, back so soon". :-)

 

The old Stella's is now BUDDIES and the new look works for me. They don't know how long it will take to obtain a Cabaret license, but hopefully it won't be long. Once that occurs, the dancers can return and who knows what will happen next. Will the working boys return? :9

 

Now, as for me not knowing who "a-ha" is, well, I just started a Yahoo group on "a-ha" to learn all about them. For "a-ha" fans, I'll keep you posted.

Seriosuly, it was nice to see some of the old Stella's crew. They were always nice to me and I had a good time before and after the G show on Saturday.

People need to realize that when the above is obtained things will take off at Buddies. People need to be patient.

A-ha, Mr. Cooper, is the best thing ever to come out of Norway. They are more than the one hit wonders everyone knows them as AND they are hot. Their music is really awesome as well.

I go to the Gaiety on a fairly regular basis.

 

Private shows at the Gaiety (unless you are very careful

and have some luck) can be quite expensive and not too

satisfying) However, an apres show drink at Stellas

was usually quite fun. If the mood hits you, you could

usually find someone nice (less expensive and usually a very

hot interactive latino who would stay with you (and hard) for an hour.

 

My question is what happen to the workin' guys (not the strippers)

from Stellas. I haven't been to Le Fleurs, but from reading this

board I get the impression that they are not there. Immediately

after Stellas closed, I saw some familar faces on Rent Boy and

in chat rooms ... but I don't see them there now. It would be great

if they start to turn up at Buddys, but does anyone know where they

are now???

I think you'll find many more of the "escort" types at La Fleur's than you thought. Some of them also head off to the Townhouse Bar on the east side...but there certainly is a contingent who seem to have fallen off the face of the earth. Maybe Esquilita?

 

Spending time at La Fleur's, I've chatted with a few escorts (not the dancers) who told me at Kathy doesn't want escorts & hustlers at the new bar. This suprises me; why does she think people are coming to her bar? For the food? PLEEEEEEEEEZE!

 

I, too, am curious where the other hustlers went.

 

And just so you know, La Fleur's is starting up special events on Monday and Tuesday; hot Latin nights or something like that. Stay tuned!

VDN, there reason that there was Latin Music on Opening Night was because there was a Hispanic DJ with all the equipment playing it. He looked nothing like a Juke Box and I could not see a place for money.

I don't get to NYC as often as I would like. I was certainly disappointed to find that Otis, with a skaggy bunch of breeders, had replaced Stella's. But now there is hope. Good luck to Buddies!

 

But for this out-of-towner, where is La Fleur? Would like to check it out next visit.

Yes, in the AOL chat rooms in February and into March

I saw several (maybe 4 or 5) familiar faces. There could have

been more ex-Stella guys on AOL but because not every profile had

a picture you can't tell ... '8-1/2" uncut latin stud' could

be any number of ex-Stella guys, but not necessarily so. About 3

of the ex-Stella guys I saw on AOL were also running adds on Rentboy

too, but I haven't seen them on Rentboy since Spring.
