I had an amazing holiday..This was the first time that my "Good Friend"..not Judith Nathan:-) came to my home for X-Mas. It went just the way I had planned..no scenes. my father had no clue but I think my mother may suspect something..She called my hotel at night and he answered..It was never discussed..Instead of shoving it in their face, I will make them fall in love with him first..I'm in no hurry..He also agrees but tells me it won't go as smoothly when we go to see his parents in a few weeks. I will let you know how that turns out..Then I will be the "Good Friend":-) I love it ..for Gods sake she's a whore...any way..What was it like when you brought your "Good Friend" home to meet the folks..either at a holiday celebration or at a wedding.

The first time I brought a "good friend" home, the family said hi, etc. and then proceeded to IGNORE him all weekend, as if he didn't exist!

They came around, though. My present lover of 19 years is in all the family photos. When my father died, he was listed with the survivors!

I do remember the first time my sister brought home an black man to dinner..She was in her rebel stage and didn't tell my parents about his skin color. The shit hit the fan big time..I mean they were cordial and all but after dinner @#$^%&%$.. I still remember every single word that was said..

That was a learning experience for my parents..My best friend and his wife are both black and my parents love them to death..They are part of the family..I do think I have to approach this differently with my "Good Friend" though..

Are y'all tellin me that nada one here has yet introduced their "Good Friend" to their family and friends. No sparks..:)
