I'm planning a one week vacation for sometime in the next three months. I basically can go any where in the world. My question is this; where on this planet is the best place to go for a week of great sex. Sounds silly, I know. I don't think people realize how true this. I literally get hard when I hear the word "Rio". The minute I find myself in Ipanema, I want to chain myself there so I can never leave. The density of perfect males in that one mile beach area is cruel.

One other place I would recommend highly for what you described is Istanbul. The old part of the city makes you feel like you're in the 14th Century and is VERY worthwhile, as are a lot of things to do in the city. Then, at night there's lots of extremely hot Turks to find, ranging from sleazy hot escorts to sleazy hot non-escorts.

Well, being 1/2 Dutch, I would of course recommend with my most biased nature, Amsterdam, one of the most liberal cities in the world. If you can wait until about 3 mos, the weather should be perking up a bit, though, admittedly, the weather can't be beat in Rio. However, depending on what type of guys you are looking for, Holland can offer soooo much. It is arguably the gay capital of Europe.

 

Now, if you want complete beauty of men, I thought the men in San Jose, Costa Rica were extraordinary. Very nice too. And the country has got to be the most beautiful there is....(placing my biased nature aside!)And it is easy to get to...4 hours from Dallas.

Budapest is beatiful and teeming with beautiful boys and history. I lived an hour south of there in Kecskemet summer of 2000. THe country is ultra cheap with a myriad of things to do and see. Hungary is probabaly one of the more conservative countries of eastern Europe, but if you're going more as a field trip than a crack-fest ( :+ ) you'll have fun.

As a general rule of where not to go, avoid places that end in "...stan". Unless you happen to be going for the Muslim hunting.

 

I have never been to Rio, but sure is on my list. Especially after the validation from Srs. Traveller and Truthteller.

 

I echo comments about Istanbul. Lots of fun, handsome men, suanas, markets, lots of old world stuff, history, decent food, and still easy enough to get around.

 

I loved Barcelona and Madrid. Plus is relatively close to the USA East coast.

 

If you have only a week, I'd imagine Asia is not really a choice. While now may not be the time (that whole Muslim thing), Malaysia is awesome country to visit. Warm people, great food, great beaches, English spoken, and tons HOT men that are eager to meet foreigners. Thailand seems to be the ranking favorite for westerners... so often Malaysia is over-looked.

 

While it is a Muslim country, it is fairly moderate. The government is secular, but still has some bad issues. The whole Ibrahim Anwar thing is a blemish on the prime minister and the government.

As for where to go: My bias for Brazil (and not just Rio) is by now well-known! It seems to be borne out by the reports from returning members of this board, all of who have come back with weak knees, aching backs and extreme jaw/tongue fatigue! :-)

I couldn't agree with you more...I went to Kenya, even though at the time there were travel advisories. Rio is my first choice as well. The beach in Ipanema on a summer

weekend has a lazy, electric sexual feel so strnage you might think you are in paradise. Don'y get me started on the great night life.

 

My second pick is Berlin. The City is exciting because of all the rebuiding in EastBerlin---galleries, cafes, theatre. But the boy bars are the real reason to go. Also, Berliners are amongst the most friendly people in the world. It's a great destination in the spring,

Rio is excellent, particularly awesome during Carnevale. Paris is also great with lots of stuff to look at, great restaurants, and outstanding nightlife. I forgot to mention Sydney in my first posting. Most people go there in late February for all the gay-related events. But, I've been there in December and January as well and Sydney is great in those months also. In fact, you get a better feel of the city and the weather is

a lttle warmer right now. The bars on Oxford street can't be beat.

If you can't get laid nearly every night in Syndey, you are not trying! I love Rio, Sydney, Berlin and Paris in that order. It depends on your travel experience and sense of adventure. Sydney has advantages in language and customs; it's a great destination for

Not to sound redundant, but RIO is it. If it's your first time, be prepared for a 'shock'. It's the gayest city on earth. Second choice for me would be San Jose, Costa Rica. Unbelievably beautiful boys... and like Rio is budget friendly. Other places to consider: Bangkok (for rice lovers), Tel Aviv (overlooked due to current events), Athens/Mykonos (in summer) or Karachi (horny hung muslims galore). Those are the cities I've been to that come to mind right away. Based on very good reports, there are others that I would like to visit in future like St.Petersburg/Moscow (love them slavs), Capetown, Sydney, Buenos Aires.
